When Ruby woke up Neo was gone from the bed.
"Oh wow, looks like she actually didn't hog it this time..." Ruby said as she noticed that she had all the sheets and blankets to herself.
"Maybe I did the hogging this time?" Ruby asked herself. She then got up and started walking through the hallways to get to the kitchen. When she reached the area she noticed Neo trying to reach something from the cabinet.
"*yawn* hey," Ruby said as she reached over Neo and grabbed a bag to set it on the counter. When she looked at what the bag was she gave Neo a mean glare.
"I think I remember tell you to stop making me pancakes?" She said as she put the pancake mix back into the cabinet. Ruby then watched as Neo grabbed a piece of paper and started squiggling on it, when she handed the paper to Ruby it read:
So you remember that much?
"What do you mean, 'that much'?" Ruby asked. Neo started writing again.
Oh nothing much, you were just sick yesterday and you did some stuff that I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to remember, so be grateful that you don't.
"Wait what'd I do?" Ruby asked, but Neo just shrugged and grabbed a chair to get the pancake mix.
"Ok so I remember umm, sitting in bed... getting up and cooking you breakfast... then sitting in bed all day and free that there's nothing," after that sentence Neo took the time to start writing again.
It's nothing Ruby, but I'm sure you'll remember soon enough...
"Hmm, ok?" Ruby said suspiciously as she put the paper back down.
"Hey lemme make the pancakes," she asked Neo. Neo then sighed and started writing again.
No.
"Why?"
You made pancakes yesterday, it's my turn now.
"What? We're not taking turns, it's called being nice!"
You're in my house, making me pancakes? That's not very hospitable...
"Yeah I guess you're right... but still, I am in your house and I've done nothing to help, AHHA!" Ruby shouted before taking a whisk out of Neo's hand and started mixing the pancakes. Neo just let it happen and didn't even try to argue with the red tipped girl. Plus her pancakes were good.
After an hour making and eating pancakes, Ruby went back to the shed to read some more. She looked around the small room and ignored the dust and dead skin floating through the air. She never did get a chance to properly look around the room, her attention being brought to the books and all last time. As she looked around she noticed multiple tools laid down on a counter in the back of the room. She walked over and inspected them. The blade and half the shaft of a scythe, a chain, no thicker than forearm, and a small blade without its hilt. All laid next to each other. As she inspected them she got an idea. A very dangerous idea, but an idea nonetheless. She grabbed the shaft of the scythe and grabbed the chain. She then positioned the shaft on top of the chain. She closed her eyes and stared thinking hard. She thought about what happened to the fork the day she woke up in Neo's room. It had shattered. She thought about how nice Neo had been to her. Then she thought about Weiss. Who she thought was the love of her life. Who she thought she could tell anything too. She was wrong. The one thing that Ruby couldn't tell her was that she loved her.
"Are you kidding me?! That's... that's weird! And gross! You're a freak! I can't believe you can feel this way we're both girls!"
Those same words rang through Ruby's head every time she did anything. She can't even eat without thinking about them. About her. As she continued thinking about them she felt her hands heat up. When she looked down she was blinded by a bright orange light coming from her hands. They were on top of the chain and shaft, and while they were she felt her hand moving downwards. Eventually they stopped glowing and when Ruby looked down she saw something she didn't expect. The chain and the shaft were fused together. Literally. Ruby picked up the chain and the scythe followed.
"Cool," she whispered to herself. Hen she grabbed the small blade on the counter and did the same to the end of the chain with the knife. Thought the same thoughts. Felt the same anger. This power it... it felt good. But the pain that followed in between hurt. A lot. She couldn't take it. She was about to stand up before everything went black and she fell to the ground.

When Neo has found Ruby, she was face flat on the hard wood floor. Asleep again? She thought. She bent down and picked up Ruby to throw the girl over her shoulder, when she noticed something weird on the counter next to her. A scythe... and a chain...? And a knife...? All fused together? How did she make that... Neo asked herself. It didn't matter now though, because however she did, it really took it out of her.
Neo walked back into the house and into the room they shared and place Ruby on the bed. As soon as she did, Ruby slowly opened her eyes.
"Hey... Neo..." was all she said. As she laid on the bed Neo gave her a glare that said:
What the hell!! That's the second time now!
"Sorry..." Ruby chuckled.
"It's a long story but... I'm tired right now. Later..." she continued right before closing her eyes and turning onto her side. Right as Neo was about to leave she heard a slight shuffling sound from behind her. She turned around and saw Ruby sitting upright.
"Oh my god!" She half screamed. She then turned to Neo and continued.
"I remember everything from when I was sick!" And at those word Neo couldn't help but blush slightly before leaving the room.
"Wait, Neo! Sorry!" Ruby screamed after her as she quickly got up from the bed tripped onto the ground.
This forced a small chuckle from Neo.
