Obsess

Joey's POV

The whip hits my back so hard turning the elegant fabric into a ragged one. I can't feel my skin as the crimson blood escapes freely.

"How many times Joey? How many times do I have to tell you not to go beyond the boundaries of the mansion?"

Dad's voice echoed in the entire room. His callous voice reverberates back and forth and the ten year old me couldn't do anything but to taste the displeasure coming from the hard whip.

"Wag na wag kang makikipaglaro sa mga hindi natin ka uri!" He chanted.

Halos memorya ko na ang mga katagang yon sa utak ko. How many times I had those words? Hundreds? Thousands?

"Honey enough bata lang siya!"

"Wag kang makialam dito! Hindi na siya nagtanda. Kasalanan niya kung bakit nawala si Leo at ngayon matigas pa ang ulo niya ano nalang ang pakinabang mo ha?" and here comes another hit from his hard hands.

"Tama na!" mom moves pero agad niyang iniwasiwas ito at sinampal.

I was left kneeling on the floor. He moved at dinungaw ako. Kasabay ng pagbigat ng aking balikat ay ang paghigpit ng aking paghinga.

"Soon you will understand why i'm doing this!"

"I'm turning you into the best version of yourself"

and the image vanish.

Napapikit nalang ako sa alaala ng kahapon. As young as ten my parents used to scrutinize every little movement I will do and that didn't change up until now.

Umahon ako mula sa jacuzzi as another nightmare haunted me so bad. I lazily moved to the mirror in my huge bathroom.

Napatingin ako sa salamin. This isn't me! A beast is what i'm seeing right now.

"Congratulations dad you made me a beast!" mahina kong bulong sa sarili.

This is what they want and this is what i'll give them. A devastatingly wicked beast.

Marahan kong pinikit ang aking mata as another memory struck me so bad.

Hindi kita mahal Joey!

I made a fist at sinuntok nang paulit ulit ang salamin sa harap ko. The cold shower producing running drops to my naked hench skin isn't even enough to boil down the heat of anger I am feeling right now.

My hand was already numb. Numb enough that I can no longer feel the red fluid in my right hand. I lay my body in the jacuzzi. The grotesque lifeblood staining the untainted water on it.

Blood is too useless it pours freely! Fuck!

I went out at agad na nagbihis wala akong paki sa sinabi niya. He's lying! He is clearly lying nothing else.

"Joey where are you going?"

Nanlisik ang mga mata ko as soon as I see dad's stern face on my way out of this holy fucking mansion.
