Constellations Are Made of Stars

14 4 2

Blinding light,
Enchanting and pure,
But so far away,
You look small,
Dim and weak;
But I know how bright you shine.

I know that,
Just because you can be lost,
In the infinite sea,
Of brights dots just like you,
Doesn't mean,
You aren't powerful,
Brightly burning,
Light years away from me.

So each night,
I stare into your world,
The great, dark abyss,
Of the midnight sky,
And I'm reminded,
That there's more,
To some things,
Than it seems.
