Chapter Forty Two - The Yule Ball

- OKay okay so here is the deal. I know some of you want smut in the books and I know some of you don't. So I am including it but there will be warnings when it comes up just for those who aren't comfortable with it. But honestly I lowkey wanted to write it so like meh. Oh and I haven't written smut in a while so it's gonna be rough.

Soon the term ended and white snow covered the campus. The ball was nearing and on Christmas eve when our friends crowded in the common room to sip on firewhiskey and engage gifts. It's our first Christmas eve with the entire group. Sure we've had bits but it's the only Christmas we all stayed. Sure it was only because of the ball but it's still nice.

"This is for you," Melody says handing me a bag, "and Fred this is yours from Mikey."

I move pulling out a cute set of silk pajamas that Melody picked out for me.

"These are super cute," I tell her, "thank you!"

"You're welcome!" Melody beams. I look over to Fred curiously. His face is bright red.

"What did you get?" I ask him.

"Oh it's uh- action figure," Fred says showing it off. When he sits the bag in between us I notice there is more in the bag. I start to look over but Mikey tosses his gift at me.

"Open it loser," He tells me. I move opening it to reveal a couple records. I smile looking through them.

"Thanks," I tell him, "this is super nice." They move on watching as Katie opens a perfume from Angie. They take their turns again and again until everyone is done. Soon the others head off to bed leaving Fred and I.

"Okay here you go," Fred tells me. I take the box and open it to reveal a gold locked. Inside I see a picture of our friends all together after a game.

"Oh this is amazing Fred," I say looking over it, "seriously amazing."

"It's enchanted," He tells me, "so the picture changes- McGonagall helped me with that part."

"You enchanted it?" I ask him. He nods. "That's so sweet." He smiles brightly. "Help me put it on?" He moves taking it and helping me clip it. Once he pulls back I smile brightly as I look down at it. "It's perfect Freddie." He sits back down beside me and I move pecking his cheek.

"Here," I say handing him a box. He pulls it open to see a gold bracelet. He gives me a curious look as my face turns red. "I know bracelets like this are a little girly but look." I turn it over to show him our anniversary date. "You've got the fun prank stuff but I thought the bracelet meant something you know?"

"I love it," He says them moves pecking my temple.

"Good I was really worried," I tell him, "I'm glad." He hugs me lightly then moves grabbing his gifts from the couch. I grab the bag Mikey gave him and hand it over. "Oh man this is weighty for just an action figure." I tilt it over to see there is a bunch of stuff in here soon. "What's this?"

"Uh well-" Fred starts. I reach in to see Mikey decide to be a cheeky prat.

"He gave you condoms?" I ask him, "oh my god that's wow-"

"Yeah I know," Fred says awkwardly, "that's way I didn't shout it out when the others were here. I mean it's kinda awkward ya know."

"Yeah it is," I tell him, "Mikey thinks he's so cheeky."

"He's ridiculous," Fred says, "honestly I want to say something-"

"Don't worry about it," I tell him, "come on let's just get to bed."

He nods. We move pulling our stuff upstairs. As we climb into bed George starts mumbling about how loud we are. I scoff as I yank the blanket up.

"Shut it George," I yawn.
