Leion Chanteu •Reslyn, Ririan•
The girl in front of me let out a sigh as I turned around. Her face still held that same startled expression as she fumbled around with her wings a bit more.
Though she didn't answer most of my questions and I could easily have her escorted out of the palace, what she said before I almost left intrigued me.
Earth.
That was a word that was vaguely in my mind, however I recalled Rysdan talking about it a few times when I was young. He used to tell my siblings and I various stories, one of them having to do with the word 'Earth'. However, I did not know what it meant, and I couldn't fully remember what the story was about.
"Yes, Earth. I'm not sure if you know it, but I am from there, and it is certainly far away from wherever Ririan is. How I got here, however, is still somewhat uncertain to me," Xenia spoke as her eyes held a look of sincerity, something telling me that she wasn't lying.
"I've heard of it, though I'm not familiar with it," I replied blatantly, though I'd have to ask Rysdan what it meant before I let my guard down around her, even if she was telling the truth.
I shot Siora a questioned look, trying to see if she also knew what Xenia was talking about, however she just shrugged.
"Look, I understand if you don't believe me. However, the things I've seen since I woke up here are unexplainable to me," Xenia stopped and looked at her leg. "Like the woman who came by earlier and completely healed my wound in a matter of seconds so that there was no trace left of it—how is that even possible?"
"You mean the healer?" Siora replied, a confusion in her voice as she adjusted the usual brown notebook she carried around in her pocket.
Xenia sat up on the bed and pushed the covers away from her, smoothing out the simple, white dress she was wearing. "Yeah, I guess," she spoke uncertainly.
She didn't know what a healer was?
"You don't know what that is?" I raised a brow.
Shaking her head, she ran her finger over the spot where her wound used to be and then gazed at my brown wings. "No, none of this makes sense to me. Not the 'healer', the wings, this 'Ririan' place."
This girl really wasn't lying.
And her statements—especially that she was shocked that we had wings—were unexplainable to Siora and I as well.
"The place you mentioned you came from—" Siora halted and turned to Xenia. "What was it again?"
"Earth?"
"Yes Earth," Siora continued. "Are you sure it's nowhere near here? It's not even a small city perhaps?"
"No, it's a completely different place than here," Xenia explained, taking a look at a ring that was on her finger.
