Leion Chanteu • Reslyn, Ririan •
Clinging argent swords struck together, whipping through the air of the training grounds as I picked up the hilt of my sword, peering intently at my brother.
A duel.
Running, I cut to Lexon's side, my wings flaring out in defense. His poised stance was loose and his ice cold eyes narrowed as he spun around and advanced towards me.
Lexon swished his sword in an arc in my direction, however I leapt away rapidly and blocked his sword with my blade. Other sword fighters started gathering around us, wanting in on the action. Siora and Orion also watching.
"Hm," Leion just hummed, moving to my side and pressing his sword onto mine, the force straining my grasp on the handle.
Slashing our swords through the air, screeching metal pervaded the atmosphere when our swords clashed against each other.
We kept going back and forth until I passed back and threw my sword against his, hitting it promptly out of his hand and to the ground.
"Guess I won," I smirked, slicking my hair back as the crowd applauded.
Lexon sneered at me, clenching his jaw. "Don't act all proud, I went easy on you."
Picking up his sword, he fixed his wrinkled coat and marched off the training ground.
He couldn't handle losing.
I smiled at Orion and Siora, spinning my sword in my hand.
"Did you see the look on his face after you defeated him?" Orion laughed.
"Yea, it was priceless," I agreed as I heard a familiar voice, looking over my shoulder.
"That was nothing," Clio stood in the center of the training ground, her raven hair slicked back into a high ponytail.
Two crimson swords were attached to her back, matching her eyes that were staring at me with determination.
The black lace of her blouse swayed with the wind as grey clouds brew over us. "Come on. You may have defeated Lexon, but nothing gets past me."
"What's her problem?" Orion flicked his wings in Clio's direction as I turned to face her.
"Hm? What are you waiting for?"
I glared at her knowing that she had much more experience than me, doubting I could ever stand up against her.
I gripped my sword tightly so much that my knuckles turned white as Clio retracted the sword from her back.
