An enlivening essence of flute rhythms filled the morning atmosphere of Ririan, the warm air embracing me tenderly as I soared through the clouds, my wispy feathers gliding the wind as I flew in a loop.
I gazed in admiration at the airships steering across the vermillion horizon as I flew lower to land onto the balcony that was connected to my room in the palace.
Arriving in Ririan was always the best thing, the sudden transition from Earth's gloomy weather to being in Ririan's striking skies was fascinating.
Over the past week, I had gone to Ririan three more times, finally feeling at home here, even though I still had many things to learn.
Leion had continued to teach me how to fly, getting better at it every time I flew with him. I knew how to take off and maintain full control of my wings while in the air and finally managed to land without crashing, even learning a few tricks from Leion and his exceptional flying expertise.
I also learned many new things about Ririan as well as trying new foods, getting familiar with the palace, and even testing out different potions. I practiced archery with Siora and Orion, eventually hitting the bulls-eye of the targets swiftly. Leion even tried to pursue me to try sword fighting, however I decided to stick with Archery which was way easier than wielding a heavy sword.
Lexon and Clio were still wary of me, however they had left me mostly alone, except for the few narrowed stares I got from Clio whenever I passed by her.
I landed smoothly on the marbled balcony, folding my wings behind my back as I opened the door to to my room. The canopy bed covered with velvet blankets stood directly to the right, with a wooden desk pushed up against the wall next to it. Two upholstered armchairs were in the other corner, positioned on the plush carpet.
I made my way over to the left side of my room, which had a polished mirror hung on the gold, accented walls and a shelf with nothing on it except the basic wooden bow I had been practicing with and the leather satchel that contained Althedon's book.
I made my way into my closet, which had a few clothes that Siora helped me pick out.
I changed into a white, button-up blouse that had golden ornaments sown onto it and flared out at the arms. I tucked the blouse into navy corduroy pants and boots.
