I laughed into my hand as Sebastián and Angel wrestled out the door, Seb winning the fight.

He slammed the door in Angel's face and pressed his shoulder against it, locking it. I could still hear Angel laughing as he walked away. Sebastián chuckled as he turned to me, raising an eyebrow up.

"I'm sorry you had to meet him like that," he said.

I waved my hand at him. "Psshh, no. He seems like a fun guy."

Sebastián sat down on the couch and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me down next to him. He tickled my belly and I laughed as I tried to worm myself away away from him.

He rested his head on my stomach, staring to the side at the door. "How do you feel about family dinner?"

I started playing with his hair, running my nails through it and over his scalp. "I'm willing to do what you are."

He closed his eyes and grabbed my free hand, kissing my palm. "I guess with you is when I'm the most brave, might as well face it tonight."

He kissed my stomach and then looked up at me, his hazel eyes watching mine. "You're so beautiful," he said.

I couldn't help the red that chased through my cheeks. What did I say to that?

I tried to think of something, but after the moment had passed, I realized perhaps not saying anything was for the best. I just grinned and continued playing with his silky hair. When I started to stop he shook his head.

"Don't start playing with a man's hair and then not finish, Vivanco," he stated.

I giggled as I continued to twirl strands of it around my finger.

"I guess if you can face your family, I should probably face mine too," I admitted. Although really, at this point in time. I felt like it could have come from either of us. We both needed to face our families. If my nightmares really were truthful, then we both needed all the help we could get. Did Reston even know what was going on in the outside world? In his world?

Sebastián nodded but didn't say anything. The moment was too perfect to leave, too perfect to move. If it could've just stayed like this for the rest of my life I would've been perfectly content.

Him laying on my stomach, my hands in his hair. It was a moment for the books.

But reality was a bitch. And the reality was, I still had problems I had to solve. I still had mysteries I needed to figure out.

As much as I enjoyed laying here with Sebastián, I knew it couldn't last for forever.

But it could last for a little while longer. I wouldn't stop it just yet. I needed this, I needed him.

I found Reston sitting on a bench at the training grounds, drinking from a metal water bottle. HIs initials were etched into it, but not beautifully. It looked like he had taken a semi-dull knife and scratched the bottle.

"R.O.W," I said. "Reston Oliver West."

Reston set his bottle on the ground and started to stand. I grabbed his arm and sighed. I didn't exactly want him to go. There was so much going on with our family, things he didn't even know. There was so much going on with our home pack.

"Quinneth, let go of me," he sneered.

I didn't want to talk to him, but there were things that needed to happen. Things he needed to know.

"I'm sorry!" I yelled.

He shrugged. "I don't care, Quinn."

That hurt more than I would have liked to admit. Reston had been my best friend since we were children. We had always been together. He took care of me, I was his little sister. To hear him say, and mean, that he didn't care was a blow to my heart.
