I stood up as the guy ran up to me, squeezing me to his chest. I felt my lungs squeeze and I patted the man's back uncomfortably.
He met me go, leaving his arm wrapped around me.
"Mom wasn't lying," he laughed.
"I'm guessing you're his brother?" I managed out. I still felt like my chest was caved in.
The guy nodded and held his hand out. I awkwardly took it, the position odd because his left arm was still strung over me.
"Angel," he greeted. For a moment I thought he was calling me Angel. And then I realized that that was just his name.
"Quinneth. But it's just Quinn." I smiled at him as he moved away, taking a deep breath.
Instead of responding to me, Angel turned to Sebastian. "Nicolas is not going to be happy," he breathed out, a stressful look on his tanned face.
Four. He had four siblings. Was Sebastián the youngest? The middle? "Are you the youngest?" I asked Seb.
He sighed softly, nodding.
"Nicki is the oldest, followed by me, and then our sister Savannah," Angel explained. "Little Sebby here is the runt of the group."
"Runt" wasn't exactly a word I'd use to describe Sebastián Vivanco. His toned arms and flat stomach could attest to that.
I smiled at Angel, nodding my head. "Sebby? Huh?" It wasn't what I would ever call him, but I thought the nickname was cute.
Sebastián groaned and shook his head. "What do you want, Angel?"
Angel dropped his smile and looked up at the ceiling. "Mom sent me to tell you that despite your Warrior status, you're welcome to family dinners again."
Sebastián eyes lit up for a moment before they got dark again. "You mean Quinn is allowed to family dinners."
The air was still for a moment before Angel hummed to himself. "I'm sure the timing of mom letting you back in isn't exactly coincidental."
The room was oddly silent for the next couple moments as nobody spoke. The air got a little colder, a little less homely.
Angel gave us a small grin. "They'll talk to you, eventually, Seb."
Sebastián nodded his head, closing his hazel eyes.
I wasn't sure if the hazel eyes had only belonged to Sebastián and his mother, but they surely did not belong to Angel. Angel was a little taller than Seb, although that wasn't exactly hard to beat since Seb wasn't that tall. Instead of the Hazel that Sebastián had, Angel's eyes were a light brown. His hair was a little longer, a little curlier, than Sebastián's and I wondered for a moment what their father looked liked.
Then boys had some resemblances though; they had the same small nose and fuller lips, same prominent jawline, and sharp collarbones were in both of their structures. You could tell they were related by the way they held themselves, proudly but not disrespectfully.
"Maybe I don't want them too," Sebastián muttered.
Angel rolled his eyes. "You're a liar," he argued. "Especially with Nick. You're his favorite sibling. Even still. And vice versa. I know you miss him."
Sebastián widened his eyes. "You're wrong!"
Angel held his hands up as he laughed. "It's fine it's fine! I have Sav."
Sebastián pushed Angel playfully. "Git outta here. Tell mom I'll go to dinner tonight I guess. If Quinn is up for it."
Angel ruffled Sebastián's hair and then winked at me. "See you later. Don't turn him into too much of a good guy, he wouldn't be fun anymore."
