SEBASTIÁN
QUINN WASN'T KIDDING WHEN she said, "good luck." Her mom was an interrogator.

"And what's your mom's name?" She asked as she sat down on a large rock. She was a thin woman with the same brown hair color as Quinn. However, her eyes were nothing like Quinn's.

"Kimberly Vivanco," Sebastián clarified.

She rose an eyebrow. "Do you have any siblings?" She asked.

Seb could think of hundreds of topics he would rather talk about than his family. It was a rough subject. One of the most important thing for a mate, however, was getting along with their mother, so, Seb told the truth. "Yes, two older brothers and an older sister." His heartstrings tugged painfully for a moment before he shoved his feelings aside.

She widened her eyes. "Big family?" She asked.

Seb shook his head. "Not really. Just my siblings and I, and my parents. Both sets of grandparents are traveling."

Quinn's mom narrowed her eyes at Seb. "What pack did you say you were from?"

Fides. They were known for their Warriors, for their strength in defense and offense. "Fides," Seb answered.

She widened her eyes. "That's fun. Under Alpha Ward?" She asked.

He nodded back at her, standing a little straighter. Seb was proud of his pack, of their reputation. "Yes ma'am."

"And you're a Warrior?" She asked as Quinn came back, a bright smile on her face.

She was gorgeous. Mate or not, he would have thought so. Everything about her was perfect to him. Her eyes, her lips, and while he definitely wouldn't say it out loud yet- her hips. He couldn't find a flaw. And it went beyond her looks. She was brave and courageous, some might even say reckless. He would simply think of it as spirited.

"Yes," He didn't mean to whisper it but it came out breathy and quiet. Quinn had taken his breath away.

Quinn strutted up to them and smiled at her mom. "I just checked out with Alpha Alex."

"What did Alpha Snow want?" Her mom asked.

Quinn groaned. "If one more person asks me to be a Warrior I'm going to go Rogue, I swear," She complained, rolling her eyes. She looked over at Seb and scrunched her face up. "It's not that being a Warrior isn't cool and all but I'm not cut out for the job, trust me." She was adorable.

He smirked at her. "Uh-huh. That's what it is. You're just scared of losing a fight to me, aren't you?" He joked

She widened her eyes and dropped her jaw. "I am not! I could beat you any day!" She argued.

Seb scoffed. "Sweetheart, I'm a top Pack Warrior at the Fides Pack. I've gone on a Hunt with thee Dallas Dawn," He bragged.

Dallas Dawn was a Hunter, a man from a powerful line of Hunters. He was well known and feared throughout the supernatural world. Of course, Seb knew the truth. He wasn't scary at all. Dallas Dawn was about as threatening as a lightning bug if you weren't a Hunted.

She seemed impressed. "That's actually, that's actually really cool," She admitted.

"What can I say? I'm good at what I do," Seb laughed, running a hand through his hair.

The next thing he knew, Quinn had him flipped over her and her knee digging into his back. His arm was pulled behind him at a weird angle.

He groaned into the dirt, wincing. At the same time, he had to admit, that was hot. "Wow," He groaned out. The dirt under his face fanned out, getting a little bit of dust in his mouth. He should have been more prepared.
