Chapter 40

Few days later

Lauren's pov.

I was getting ready for our dinner with Lucy and Vero. It was pretty hard to find a perfect day and hour that would fit for everyone but we finally decided to meet today. It isn't anything too fancy just a small diner in the city but still I wanted to look good for myself and of course for Camila. I was finishing my make up when I heard my favourite voice calling me from the living room.

"Babe? Are you almost ready?"

I quickly put some lipstick and checked myself in the mirror again. I grabbed my bag and joined Camila. At first she didn't notice me and she didn't look up from her phone so I decided to clear my throat. Her head shot up and she smiled at me. I could see the adoration in her eyes and something else I couldn't quite identify.

"Wow y-you look...wow." Camila said tripping over her own words. I chuckled to myself seeing her antics and she shook her head lightly moving closer to me and grabbing my hands in the process. "See what you're doing to me? Leaving me speechless like that it's not fair, Lo. What I meant to say was you look gorgeous and I'm pretty sure I have the hottest date tonight."

"Funny cause I'm pretty sure that's me." I quickly kissed her cheek and finally got a good look at what she was wearing. "You look beautiful,babe. I really like the dress."

She wasn't wearing anything that was too much. It was simple black v-neck dress but I must say it was hugging her body in all the right places. I didn't realise I was staring until I heard Camila's phone ringing and she said that our ride is here.

After about 10 minutes drive we arrived to small restaurant. I took Camila's hand in mine as we followed the waitress to our table. I couldn't help but smile at the sight. Lucy and Vero apparently arrived before us cause they were already laughing and chatting away. Camila squeezed my hand probably thinking the same thing and she send me knowing smile.

"Lauren why didn't you tell me that Vero is going to be here. I definitely missed my main bitch!" Lucy said as soon as she seen us and I smiled at the way she looked at Vero.

"Well I wanted it to be a surprise. You like?" I smiled moving to hug Vero but never letting go of Camila's hand.

"I love!" Lucy stood up to give me a hug and then she greeted Camila the same way.

We sat down and placed our orders for drinks and food. Vero, Camila and I ordered some cocktails while Lucy decided to stay with water for the night and I send her a small smile.

We kept a light conversation through dinner but the way Vero was looking at Lucy and vice versa definitely didn't go unnoticed. I was chatting to Vero when I noticed that Camila's hand that was on my thigh went up a bit higher. I tried not to pay too much attention to it but few minutes later I felt my skirt being moved up. I looked at Camila sternly but she only smirked and gulped the rest of her cocktail secretly letting me know to do the same.

With Camila's hand still on my upper thigh we finished our desserts. Camila started drawing some patterns on my leg with her pointing finger and I immediately tensed up. I looked over to Lucy and Vero but they were lost in their conversation. Then I moved closer to Camila so it looked like I was whispering in her ear.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked leaving small kisses on her jaw. Her hand cupped my cheek and she innocently pecked my lips.

"I think I'm doing something you like so how about we leave." She whispered seductively against my lips.

"Hey lovebirds! There's a pretty good club not that far away from here and I know some people there so who knows, maybe some free drinks. What do you say?" Vero said with one arm wrapped around Lucy's shoulders.
