Night Drive (Camren)

Chapter 17

Lauren's pov. 

''I love it.'' She whispered. 

I sighed in relief. After what happened earlier I was kinda insecure that Camila will cut our date short. But seeing sparkles in her eyes and big smile on her face I knew she's genuinely happy. As our last destination I picked open movie screening. We were like 20 minutes early so I parked my car and went to open Camila's doors for her, giving her one last smile. 

''Wait here.'' I said when she was out the car. I went to the trunk and take out small basket with snacks and drinks, and two blankets. 

She smiled at me and moved closer. ''Come on, I'll help you.'' But I shook my head. 

''No, it's fine, I'll carry it. Let's go pick a nice spot.'' I said winking at her. 

She was walking in front of me, trying to find somewhere to sit. I couldn't help but check her out. Her tight jeans were hugging her curves in all the right places. I always had a thing for butts but hers was just something else. Lost in my thoughts, I didn't realized that she stopped and bumped into her, almost dropping everything I had in my hands. 

''Shit, sorry. Are you okay?'' I asked worriedly. 

When I heard her chuckling and my nerves and embarrassment slowly went away. '' I'm fine.'' She said smirking and I know she probably caught me staring. I looked away shyly and she laughed. '' Is here okay for you? '' She said looking at the free space beside us and I just nodded my head, not able to form any words. 

I dropped the basket on the ground and with Camila's help, spread the blanket.I left second one beside us, just in case we'll get cold through the movie. We sat down next to each other and I started to take out some drinks and snacks from the basket. 

''Oh my God, you got my all favorite things.'' Her face lit up when I pulled out sour worms, chocolate, bag of skittles and of course bananas. I just got some peanut butter cups for me.

''It's all yours.'' I smiled at her and she squealed excitedly. 

When the movie started, she looked at me with widened eyes. 

''That's the best movie ever, you know I can watch it million times and never get bored!'' She said smiling widely. 

''I know,that's why I picked it. When I first heard that they'll be playing ''The Notebook'' I instantly knew I have to take you.'' 

''That's so sweet, Lo. Thank you.'' She whispered the last part and went to hug me. I reciprocated straight away and after few second she started to pull away. I kept my arm around her not fully letting go and she moved closer to me, resting her head on my shoulder. 

Halfway through the movie I saw goosebumps on Camila's skin and she was shivering lightly. I went to stand up to get us another blanket and she instantly looked at me, missing the warmth. I gave her small smile and got us another blanket. Instead of returning to our previous position, I sat down behind her and put the blanket around both of us. I felt her backing up to me and I held her tightly in my arms. After giving her gentle kiss on the shoulder, I rested my chin there and ever so softly nudged her hair with my nose. I couldn't see her face now but I was sure she was smiling. 

After the movie was over I took Camila home. It was already pretty late, and we both had busy day ahead of us. When we where driving, radio was playing ever so softly and I gently held Camila's hand in mine. She makes me smile with the simplest things and I wonder how did I get so lucky. No words are amazing enough to describe how she makes me feel. So many of my smiles begins with her. 

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realized that we arrived back to Camila's place. We were standing in her porch now and I could sense that both of us didn't know how to say goodbye. 

''Thank you for tonight.'' Camila broke the silence, reaching for my hand. ''I had an amazing time Laur. I know it sounds cliche but it's true.'' She said smiling gently and brown eyes looked up at me. 

''It's my pleasure,really. I hope it won't be the last one, and I promise, next time no sport activities.'' I chuckled a little to ease the tension. 

''I'm planning the next date. I don't know what I'll have to do though cause you set the bar pretty high.'' 

''Stop, you gonna make me blush Cabello.'' I said looking away. 

''Wouldn't be the first time.'' She smirked and I laughed. '' But seriously,Lo. It was the best date I've ever been on. Thank you.'' She whispered and moved closer to me putting her hands on the collar of my leather jacket. Our faces were so close and I put my hands on her waist bringing her closer. 

''Can I kiss you?'' I asked quietly. My heart was beating so fast and so loud that I thought it's gonna burst out of my chest. 

I saw her nod ever so lightly and then I looked down at her lips. They looked so soft and full. She bit her lower lip and I moved my hand to gently cup her cheek. I looked up to my favorite pair of chocolate eyes again and slowly leaned in. Closing my eyes in the process I pressed my lips to hers. And in that moment nothing else mattered. I could feel electric spark when our lips connected. 

For few seconds I didn't move at all. I couldn't believe that this is happening. I was scared that when I'll open my eyes it'll be a dream. 

My lips trembled and I could feel her doing the same. I enclosed her bottom lip between mine and kissed her with tenderness and fervor. I was kissing her ever so gently and I was getting dizzy cause her lips were so soft and tasted so sweet. It was like an addiction. I softly stroked her cheek and her hands moved to my neck to caress the skin there. I let out a sigh and kissed her more passionately. We both parted our lips slightly and the tips of our tongues lightly brushed. Our kiss was slow and sensual, and I've never felt something like that with anyone. Her lips formed in a small smile and I couldn't help but do the same. Our foreheads were touching and we were both breathing heavily. After few seconds I leaned in again and gave one more, quick kiss. I couldn't help but sigh in bliss. When I was pulling away I kissed her forehead and squeezed her hand. 

When I fully looked at her she was blushing so hard and I could only imagine that I looked similar. I smiled at her and she did the same.

''I should probably go.'' I said gently still holding her hand. 

''Okay, text me when you'll get home.'' 

''I will, goodnight Camz.'' I couldn't help myself and gave her one last kiss. 

''Goodnight.''
