Six months passed by since the day, I talked with Samar's brother regarding college. I remember that day clearly because of the reactions of my family when they got to know that I went to discuss about leaving the town for studies.

Flashback

"You...you want to leave?" Aunt asked in a small voice, looking shocked as hell.

Everyone was looking at me with hurt and disbelief in their eyes. I was confused by their reactions. They were the one's who told me I could go after completing Junior college and now this.

"Yeah, but why are you so surprised? You were the one who told me  that I can go outside to study for my graduation when I complained about the college last year".

"Yeah we did. But we didn't think you would really go", Uncle responded, not being able to digest this news.

"So am I allowed to go or not?" I asked biting my nails.

"Don't worry. You can go next year after your HSC. We won't back away from our words", Aunt replied in affirmation, though it was clear from her face that she wanted to deny.

"It's not final yet. I am still deciding", I told them so they could be at peace for now.

The audible sighs of relief from everyone, told me that I should have shared this piece of information a lot earlier.

"Let me know, if you want to go and check out the colleges. I will come with you", Uncle spoke, leaving me with mixed feelings.

"I thought, you didn't want me to go", I said, not knowing how to take his sudden change of heart.

"We would hate to part away from you but it doesn't mean that we would hold you back", Uncle explained.

His simple sentence made me feel so loved and I couldn't help myself from hugging him.

Flashback over

In these six months, I went over everything. Comparing and debating over town and city. At the end, I selected to study in this town itself.

I was leaning towards business management for my career and it was well taught here. Obviously, city would have additional facilities and more programmes but it wasn't that great for me to leave my family behind.

To say everyone was pleased with this decision, would have been a understatement. They were really happy when I announced this.

What made me more happy was when Aunt asked me that if I was really happy with my decision or did I do it for them? She wanted me to stay here yet she promised me that they won't feel bad and would support me even if I wanted to go.

Eveything was a done deal but a call from Lawyer Uncle changed everything.

It was a weekend and we all were having a fun family time when my phone rang.

Looking at the caller Id, I was really confused.

"What happened, Trisha?" Aunt asked looking at my now sullen mood.

"Lawyer Uncle is calling me", I informed, still in dilemma on what to feel about it.

He had forgotten about me as he never called me for one and half year, not even to wish me on my birthday.

"Pick it up. It must be important", Uncle spoke, giving me a push, I needed to pick up the call.

Nodding, I hesitantly brought my phone to my ear.

"Hello", I greeted in a small voice.

"Trisha, I hope you are doing okay. I wanted to ask about the college you have decided", he directly came to the point.
