Chapter 5: Reliving the past

" Ryuga " Tsukuyomi looked at Banjou after he deescalated the heated room. He glanced over to her as he noticed her tablet displaying several locations " Where do you think Sento most likely could be? " she asked to which Banjou only shrugged " beats me, all I can remember was that one day he just didn't show up at the lab anymore and I couldn't track him down, not only that, but...the cafe's owner where the lab is, he doesn't live here anymore nor are they're any records of him returning from space-" Banjou was cut off by Kagura suddenly standing up with a loud thud " I figured it out " Kagura announced gaining the entire rooms attention. " Nathan, you said Another Build was a wannabe correct? " He asked " Yeah that's when I first saw em " Nathan nodded " and so far he kept coming back when we defeated him in the present. " Kagura added getting Geiz cross to his arms trying figure out where this was going. " Nathan, you knew about Build's existence before Another Build showed up, did you have any relation to him? " He asked to which Nathan nodded " He was my Mother's friend, I never met him personally but I knew of him from some of the stories I was told when I was little." Nathan replied to which Kagura held his hand out to Tsukuyomi who openly gave him her tablet as he began scrolling through it as if he already knew its functioning inside and out, soon he slid one icon off the screen and into the air displaying several articles for visuals as he explained " This is a fifty-fifty chance I'm correct; but what if someone, or something altered the timeline thus rewriting a history where Sento never became Kamen Rider Build, causing certain events to never have occurred " He said to which Banjou read through some of floating articles, seeing his history was the same but Sento Kiryu didn't exist only a man by the name of ' Takumi Katsuragi ' he narrowed his eyes " But how come Ryuga still knows about him? And why wasn't he affected by the change? " Tsukuyomi asked which Geiz said " It's because of Zi-O " he glanced at her then at Banjou " Check your pocket " he said to which Banjou dug his hands in his pockets before pulling out a watch based on his Kamen Rider armor

" H-Huh?! What's this?! " he blinked before the watch vanished and in his hands leaving his dragon fullbottle he used for his transformation. " Tsukuyomi's mistake " Geiz said as he took a moment to explain " When you and Kamen Rider Build rescued Zi-O and that girl, He found two black watches that were from Zi-O's possession. Due to his curiosity as a scientist he chose to keep the watches even before Tsukuyomi arrived to take Zi-O and the girl back to their timeline. " Geiz said as Banjou looked at Kagura and Jirou " but I've never met them before " He said which Jirou blinked confused now before Geiz clarified " That's because the rules of time led Tsukuyomi to wiping the memories of those two from you. Unfortunately she didn't take back the watches due to her small attention span...." Geiz grumbled to which Banjou then looked at Geiz " that black watch your talking about, I remember holding one and Sento held the other , but they never changed shape " he said to which Geiz put a finger on his chin as he thought " Probably because they needed time to manifest your powers into them. " Kagura theorized " How would you know that? " Geiz replied gaining the feeling his knowledge of Oma was setting in until he said " Well you used Takeru's powers as Ghost, and when he held the watch it disappeared and gave him his Ghost Driver back, so maybe my future self left a black watch with Takeru at some point and over time it manifested into the watch you used. " Kagura explained " That would make sense. " Tsukuyomi nodded before she looked at Banjou " We need to hurry and find Sento, he won't be able to transform if he doesn't figure out about the watch " she exclaimed. Banjou looked down by murmuring " Takumi Katsuragi....look that name up " he told Kagura. Kagura nodded and began typing on the tablet then showing Banjou "....I knew my hunch wasn't just a bad feeling....what if these watches also did something more than take our powers? " Banjou asked while reading the screen " What are you on about? " Geiz narrowed his eyes before watching Banjou turn the tablet towards the group to show a picture of a name who looked similar to Sento yet different " what if they altered our memories? Or altered history? " he asked before Nathan said ".....the watches do take your memories....Banjou, that man, Takumi Katsuragi....is Sento Kiryu before he met the man who made him Kamen Rider Build...." Nathan said as if he were seeing a ghost. And it was true he was seeing a ghost, or more a horrified remembrance of his mother's death......
