It was late afternoon and Milly was nervous. She was burning a path in her padded carpet from pacing so much. She hadn't heard from Jake all afternoon, and she still had that creeping suspicion that something bad was going to happen. She couldn't quite put her manicured finger on it.

"Calm down," she mumbled to herself. Why was she nervous? She was never nervous on jobs. Milly had been doing this for so long, it was natural for her.

She picked her phone up before immediately setting it back down. Jake was late and he didn't see like the type of person to leave someone hanging. But then again, she really didn't know him.

Knocking her out of her thoughts, there was a knock on her front door. She glanced in the mirror one last time to make sure her hair and make up were perfect. She smoothed down her hair and answered the door.

"You're late," Milly stated. Jake shook his head and gave her an apologetic look.

"I know... it's been a long day." He ran his hand through his hair before placing a kiss on Milly's cheek. A light blush crept into her cheeks. She looked at the ground so Jake couldn't see it. "My darling Milly, are we ready to go?"

Milly nodded as she stepped out into the cool autumn air. She locked the door behind her before Jake took her hand, escorted her down the stairs, and opened up the car door for her.

The ride to the family house was mostly quiet except for a comment here and there. Jake was stressed. His sister decided she wanted to make a few last minute changes and they were hustled to get it done in time. It didn't help that he didn't get any sleep last night thanks to the bachelor party. He yawned and rubbed his eyes.

"You okay," Milly asked, concern plagued her voice.

Jake nodded. "Ya. Shayln changed a few things this morning and I had a long night."

Milly frowned. "I'm sorry, Jake."

He glanced over at her. "It's whatever. It's done with now. Now we just got to get through the wedding."

They arrived at his family house about an hour and a half before the wedding so they could take pictures. Jake opened the door for Milly and smiled. "You ready for a photo op?" he couldn't help but to laugh. "Don't worry, you will just be in a few of them."

Milly laughed. "Okay. Modeling runs in my family so don't be surprised if I blow everyone out of the water. I'm very photogenic."

"Well, as someone as beautiful as you, that doesn't surprise me."

She chuckled and playfully hit his arm as they walked through the door. They were greeted almost immediately by his mother. "Finally! We've been waiting on you, darling. Hello, Emily. It's nice to see you again." His mother embraced Milly and scolded Jake.

He couldn't help but to laugh.

"It's nice to see you again as well, Mrs. Thomas."

His mother chuckled. "Please, dear. Call me, Sharon."

"Sure thing, Sharon."

Jake smiled as his mother beamed but on the inside he was drowning. He didn't want her to get to attached to Milly because he knew after today she would be gone. He also had to remind himself not to get attached either. "Come on hunny, the photographer is all ready."

They followed his mother to around back where the photographer was waiting. "We already have pictures of the other couples, so it's your turn now."

Jake groaned but Milly just grabbed his hand and lead him to where the photographer directed them. Milly wrapped her arms around his waist and glanced up at Jake. "Smile. Don't act like today is the worse day of your life. Your sister is getting married. This is a happy time."

"Ma'am yes ma'am." Jake leaned down and pressed a light kiss to Milly's forehead and they could hear his mother aweing in the background.

An hour later, Jake was standing next to Shawn, as his sister was walking down the aisle. His sister couldn't have been any more beautiful than she was now.

It made Jake extremely happy to see his baby sister looking so happy. He glanced at Shawn, who had a look of pure happiness and awe on his face. Jake smiled and bit back tears as his sister and best friend said their vows.

Milly was in awe. The bride was stunning and she was radiating elegance and grace. Shayln took everyone's breath away as she made her way down the aisle. When Shayln passed by the front row -where Milly had a place with their parents- she smiled at Milly.

Milly looked over at Jake and she could see that he was so proud of his little sister. Any brother would be proud of their sister finding the love of their life.

The ceremony was over in a beautiful flash, leaving guests to wander to the reception or give their congratulations and leave. Jake walked over to Milly and give her a quick kiss, which caught her off guard. "Your sister is probably the prettiest bride I've ever seen... Well beside my sister." Jake chuckled and nodded in agreement.

"Ready to head to recept-," Jake stopped mid-sentence and stared intently at something. "Oh shit," he cursed under his breath before grabbing Milly's hand.

If those men attending the wedding, that meant that they already knew he was there and that his cover had just been blown. "We have to get out of here now."

Milly wasn't sure what the urgency was in his voice but she knew it wasn't good. Before she could ask why, gunfire echoed around. Guests started screaming and running in all directions, trying to take cover from the death in a shell.

Jake pulled Milly along side him as he reached into his waistband, pulling out his own gun, and firing back at the assailants. "Jake, what the hell is going on here!"

"Milly, I don't have time to explain. We just have to get out of her-" Jake cried out as a bullet tore through his arm. He moved Milly behind him until they reached his car. "Buckle up," he told her as he got into the drivers seat and speeding off.

"I'm going to ask again, what the hell is going on?"

"I'll explain later." Jake whipped out his cell phone and dialed the one number he normally never called. The phone rang twice before there was an answer.

"Agent Teal."

"Thank God, Jason. I'm glad you are the one who answered. It's Jake. I need to speaking to Wilson now. Tell him it's an emergency."

"Okay. I'll let him know... Jake whatever is going on be careful..." There was a click and Jake knew he was on hold. He glanced down at the speedometer and saw his car was pushing 110.

"Director Wilson. What's going on Jake?"

"I'm on my way to headquarters. Three of Antonio's men were at my sisters wedding. Dammit! They opened fire on me!"

"Calm down, Agent. How far away are you?"

"I'll pulling up the building now."

"Okay, I'll meet you in the lobby. See you in two."

Whatever was going was way above Milly's head. She had no idea what was going on but whatever it was she didn't want to be involved. She just wanted to go home.

Milly gasped as the FBI Headquarters came into view. "Jake, for the last time... what is going on?"

He glanced over at her. He had honestly forgotten she was in the car with him. He reached into the glove compartment, removed his badge, scanned it, and pulled into the parking garage. "I don't know what they want you know but I'll tell you this, I'm an FBI who specializes in going undercover. I'll let my boss decide what else he wants you to know. I'm sorry, Milly... things are going to be different now that they have seen you are involved with me. Being involved with me, means being involved with the FBI."

Jake didn't know what was going to happen but he knew whatever happened wouldn't have a good outcome.
