24. Stand your ground

Few men have joined the fight against Mingyu's goons. More and more people are joining the fight. Finally Mingyu and his goons have to flee.

Liz touches V's wounded lips. He has fought Mingyu and received several blows.

"Sorry. I'm no good fighter..."

"What are you saying? You protected me," says her.

A peck like kiss to his lips caught him off guard. V is going to kiss her but she takes a step back.

"I'm not that kind of woman," warns her.

She quickly leaves that spot.

V sits next to RM. He still wondering what she meant.

RM suggests, "Take it slow. Don't scare her. With your shady past, a woman would think twice before falling for you."

V stares him.

RM groans when he lifts his arm. He presses his pocket again.

Jungkook squats in front of him and asks, "Hyung, you okay?"

RM chuckles. All his friends look like they have gone through a rough brawl. Jin has left too early.

He asks, "Someone could drive me to police station?"

RM taps his pocket. He has recorded everything with his phone. Mingyu couldn't get out so easily this time.

Jungkook asks, "You did it for evidences? Hyung, you are so smart!"

"Like you haven't known it," teases RM.

Jungkook helps RM to rise.

RM says, "V could drive us. Suga, J-HOPE, you two stay at home. I don't want them to hurt Jimin while we are gone."

Suga and J-HOPE nod their heads. They quickly head home.

Jungkook asks, "Do you think they did this? The assault on V?"

"It's possible. They are top of my suspects list."

No one says anything on their way to the police station.

Not until V asks, "RM, how did you know Liz?"

"I helped her once."

That's all his reply to him.

Jin has got back home. He stares Suga and J-HOPE. They both have bruises on their faces and arms. They must have bruises on other body parts too.

Only Jimin looks okay.

Jin asks, "What happened?"

"Mingyu attacked RM. Wished I could join the fight..."

Jimin looks upset because he is in no condition to fight Mingyu and his goons.

Jin leaves the bungalow. He is so upset. He feels he must find Mingyu and beat him up into a bloody pulp.

"Where are you going?" asks a woman behind him.

He looks backwards.

Irene has come after she hears about the incident.

Jin says, "I'm going to find him."

"No, you can't."

She hugs him from behind.

"I won't let you leave," protests her.

"Let me go, Irene."

"Never. I don't want you to get hurt, Jin-ssi."

Jin chuckles. He's back to Jin-ssi as if they are just mere acquaintances. It's her bad habit.

"Please, don't go. I don't want you to get hurt..."

"Irene, let me go."

"I love you, Jin," confesses her.

Jin is frozen on spot. Irene hugs him tighter.

She asks, "You are surprised? I've never met someone like you, Jin. You made me felt special, precious."

Jin turns around. He kisses her lips before he stares to her eyes.

"You are special, Irene. Don't let that Mingyu undermined you. He isn't worthy."

Irene gives him a good hug. Jin kisses her head.

Jimin smiles when he stares out of the front window.

Mission accomplished. Jin looks like he is going to murder someone earlier. He has called Irene to stop Jin from going.

Jin is walking with Irene. They are holding hands during their walk.

Suddenly Jin's phone rings.

He replies, "Yes, it's me. No. I don't want to go back. You have found Alice? Let me talk to her. What?"

Jin's face is a bit pale when he stares her.

He asks, "I know it's late. Could you drive me to Seoul? I have to go right now."

"Okay.

Irene kept staring Jin during the long drive to Seoul. He has explained nothing. He only gives her an address of a certain location.

Finally the car stops in front of impressive looking mansion. A place fits for a billionaire.

Jin gets out from the car.

He asks, "It's late. Why don't you stay in your parents home for tonight? We could go back to Campus tomorrow morning. Around nine o'clock?"

"Okay."

Jin rubs his neck when he asks, "Irene, if I'm no longer me. Would you still love me?"

There is a strong hint of sadness in his voice.

"Jin, I will always love you."

Suddenly few men grab Jin when he is still talking with her.

"Let me go. I could walk on my own," orders Jin.

He shoves them away from him. He stares to the mansion. His prison. He would never go back here. If not for Alice.

Irene stares him until he disappears behind the mansion gate.

A chill to her spine as if she would never see him again.

She shakes her head to stop the eerie goosebumps feelings.
