Storm and the Trident go back in time to the very beginning.
They feel the birth of the first of the stars.
They are the end of the last one.
They go beyond this universe to the previous one. To the ones beside them both.
They know the numbers of all the stars in all the universes that have them.
They are the empty expanse of space in a universe that has none.
No stars. No planets. No life.
They leave and enter before and after. They are born, and born anew.
They are the stars.
And then…
Just when they were enjoying this so much, they are no more the stars, but enter into something in the Trident’s past, and in a time to come.
