Chapter 17

It was Friday. A full five days after that nerd was taken.

"It's his fault." Bakugo growled to his empty room. He thought about the other day, when his mom had come into his room and told him that they'd probably found him. He'd scoffed like he didn't care, but then she'd told him about what they thought was happening to him, and it made him shiver slightly. Even though he hated him and was was jealous of the progress he was making, nobody deserved that. He wouldn't wish that on anybody, well, maybe the League for kidnapping him at the training camp. It pissed him off. He was feeling sorry for that damn Deku. But when he thought about it, what kind of hero would he be if he didn't? What kind of hero doesn't care that someone was being tortured? He didn't know which was worse, feeling sorry for him or not.

Bakugo looked up when he felt him phone vibrate on his bed. "That damn group chat." He muttered. He'd been getting nonstop notifications ever since they added him to it. They always talked about the most boring stuff. They never got anything new that he even slightly cared about. He decided to check it just in case. He knew he was supposed to be getting a notification about a new game coming out, so he turned on his phone and looked. Nope. It was just the group chat. He was going to just put his phone down and go back to grumbling to himself, but without meaning to, he read the messages that had appeared on his screen.

Kaminari: Yeah But do you think they'll find him? I mean, even if they are raiding the place, they could still get away.

Iida: I just hope it succeeds and they find him without anyone getting hurt.

"What the hell are they talking about?" He muttered, opening the chat against his better judgment. He scrolled up through the mountain of messages until he reached one from Kirishima that caught his eye.

Kirishima: Yeah I heard! Tomorrow they're going to invade the place he's being kept! I heard they have at least 40 pros too!

Kaminari: Nah! No way they could have that many.

Mina: I'm just glad somethings actually happening.

Iida: This is wonderful news!

Bakugo scoffed, turning his phone off and throwing it on the bed. All they ever talked about was that nerd. He didn't need to know that. He didn't want to know that. "Who cares that that damn Deku will be saved? It was his fault for being captured in the first place." He said to nobody. "Urrgh! Why am I even thinking about this in the first place?!" He started to pace around the room, trying to get his mind off of the topic, but he couldn't. It was Dekus fault he was coupled up inside! It was Dekus fault school was cancelled, not that he cared about that.

"Damn it!" He yelled, punching the wall next to him, making a loud bang.

"Katsuki!" He heard his mom yell from across the house. He grumbled, sitting down. He didn't want his mom on his case. "Why does that nerd have to be the center of attention?"
