It was a Monday morning, and one Iida Tenya, brother of the former pro hero Ingenium, could be seen in the boy's common bathroom brushing his teeth. You could almost hear squeaking as his arms moved like a robot at a 90-degree angle.

I must hurry if I want to get to class at the correct time! He thought. It is disgraceful that I slept in even five minutes!

Unconsciously, he glanced at the sink to his right, taking note of the fact that nobody was using it. He wasn't the only one to sleep in. Midoriya hadn't taken his usual spot in front of it. Iida would have to scold him later for being so unpunctual. He grinned a little bit at the thought of his friend's reaction. He could be so wholesome and apologetic sometimes.

Midoriya had been his good friend pretty much since school started, but their friendship became stronger when he'd led him down the right path during their fight with Stain, the Hero Killer. He would most likely be dead in an alley in Hosu if it weren't for his two allies.

Those reasons made it all the more shocking, however, when the green-haired boy he'd been thinking about made his way into the bathroom with a less-than-kind expression. His eyes were locked forward in a stare the rivaled Bakugo's, making him look just angry at the world. If looks could kill, Iida would be. His usual basketball shorts and light blue T-shirt were wrinkled and twisted around awkwardly, but that had to be expected for someone who had just woken up. He had severe bedstead, and no effort had been put into taming the random bush of green hair.

"Midoriya." He greeted hesitantly, noting his classmate's sour mood. "Good morning. Is there a reason you woke up so late? You seem tired." He asked as he finished his morning routine.

"Couldn't sleep," Midoriya said simply in an unusual tone. Iida instantly got the feeling that something was off, but he couldn't quite place it. It was something about his eyes...Eh, he was probably imagining it.

Midoriya sluggishly started brushing his teeth, but still got done relatively quickly. Iida didn't notice him immediately walk out into the common room before he even had his uniform on.

When Iida finally followed him, he was shocked by the greenette's strange behavior. He was gazing around with wide curious eyes at all of the students milling about and getting ready, looking at their faces closely like he was trying to memorize the image. He got right into Serous, only a few inches away while staring at him curiously like he'd never seen him before. Sero blushed a bit at the attention but eventually patten the boy on the shoulder nervously before moving on.

None of the students seemed to notice at first, all too preoccupied with getting ready or chatting with their friends. As Iida stared, mouth slightly agape, Midoriya started to make his way over to where a certain spiky blonde was sitting. He didn't even get ten feet away before Bakubro noticed him. He quickly took in his appearance and the way he was looking at the people around him before yelling.

"Oi! Deku!" Bakugo he screamed. "What the hell are you doing!? Do you think you're too good to take school seriously?! Huh?!" His tirade caught the attention of most of the other students, who stopped what they were doing to watch.

Midoriya gave him a calculating look as he grinned oddly at the explosive boy. He also... Blushed? At Bakugo?

Iida was confused, but he knew he had to intervene. He made his way across the room and stood in front of the shorter boy, addressing Bakugo.

"Midoriya has not gotten an adequate amount of sleep, and should probably get some rest." He said in a stern voice, looking into Bakugo's fiery red eyes. "I would appreciate it if you would stop your yelling." Bakugo looked like he was going to lose it, and sparks were popping in his hands. Iida ignored him and turned to greet URARAKA, who had gotten curious and come over to see what the commotion was about. "Will you please inform Mr. Aizawa that-" but he was cut off.

"No, I think I should go to class." Midoriya piped up. He was looking down and away from them, his hair casting a shadow over his eyes. Iida gave him a look that said he was trying to help, but Midoriya either didn't notice or just ignored him, running up the stairs in the direction of his dorm room presumably to get changed.

Bakugo stomped off while grumbling, "Damn Deku... Fucking idiot." Under his breath as Kirishima came looking for him.

"What was that about?" Uraraka whispered in Iida's ear as they walked the short 5 minutes to class. She had a confused and concerned look on her face.

"I don't know." He answered, trying to mask his worry. He was trying to determine the cause of Midoriyas odd behavior. He didn't seem emotionally unbalanced, but he wasn't acting okay either. He was more just... Not himself. Simple as that. He wanted to think that his friend trusted them enough to confide in them with his issues, but he also knew that the boy hated worrying people.

They continued on their walk, having to talk a bit louder over the rambunctiousness of the Bakusquad behind them.

"I met up with him in the bathroom this morning as usual- but by the time he got there, I was already finished. When I asked him about it he said that he hadn't slept well, so I let him off the hook." As he explained this he quickly stole a glance back at the said boy who was walking a distance behind them. His wide gleaming eyes were looking around at the school building they were approaching and the grounds, taking in every detail like it was his first time seeing it. He still had a slight flush to his freckled face.

"You think something happened over the weekend? He did go to his mom's on Saturday." Uraraka proposed.

"Yes, but his behavior didn't seem any different on Sunday. " Iida pointed out. They both fell into silence as they thought about the situation, and barely even noticed when they had already reached the large doors of class 1-A.
