Uncertain Unity Can/Sanem

⚘Chapter-Twenty Nine⚘

"They've called an ambulance..." Guliz said in one breath.

"What's going on?" Sanem asked.

"It's büyük teyze she's collapsed." Guliz said, going out, followed by a distraught Selin.

They all reached the house in an instance. Everyone was hovering around, trying to make büyük teyze comfortable before the ambulance arrived. Sanem didn't know if she would be welcomed, so she stayed back. Omer had seen her and approached her.

The two walked away to the side of the house.

"Sanem, I'm so sorry." Omer started.

"Omer now's not the time. Just leave it." Sanem told him.

"But Sanem, you're married. Why didn't you say anything?" He asked.

"Because it wasn't any of your business... I did you a favour. If you had kept your word and put a stop to this fake engagement when I asked you to, none of this would have happened." Sanem told, him wiping away tears as she walked away.

Omer reached out to take hold of her hand. "Sanem, please...I'm sorry."

"It doesn't matter now anyway. I'm leaving tonight." She said. The sirens of the ambulance could be heard getting closer. As she looked up to see it arrive, she saw someone standing there. Blinking to see clearly, her eyes locked with Cans.

Can had been waiting impatiencely for the ambulance and had gone out. He hadn't seen Sanem come to the house. However while waiting for the ambulance he had heard voices at the side of the house. When he had approached closer he saw it was Sanem and Omer. They were unawear of his pressance...but he had overheard everything. The siren of the Ambulance had distracted them and as Sanem looked up their eyes met.

She saw the disappointment in his eyes as he stepped back.

"Oh God...I think Can heard everything." Sanem said quietly to herself.

"Come on the ambulance is here." Omer said walking back towards the house.

Sanem stood back. "I think it's best that I leave from here." She told him.

"Are you going back tonight?" He asked.

"Yes...as I've said it's for the best." As they reached the house Can stood there waiting for the ambulance to park. Sanem went up to him.

"Can...I'm sorry." She said.

"Now really isn't the time for this Sanem." He told her without looking at her. "I have more important things to worry about." He said as he walked past her.

The paramedics parked the ambulance and went inside with Can. Sanem quitly went back to Selins house to finish gathering her things. Everything was clear...it was over...in a way it was a relief to her. Like she had told Ayhan she was tired. Sighing she waited for Selin to come back.

It had been over a good three hours before they had recieved the news that büyük teyze was doing well. Her blood pressure had risen but luckly it was nothing fatal.
