"Ok...sweetheart let me ask you. Would you marry a woman who couldn't have children?"

"No...Anne...hmm..No..." The loud crashing sound that came from the corridor distracted them from the conversation as they both looked towards the door. Cutting Can's answer. He then looked back at his Anne and gave her his reply.

"No...Anne...hmm...No...sorry but you didn't ask me the right question. Now if you had asked me. Would I marry a woman I loved who had told me before hand she she was unable to have children?" He told her and continued with the answer. "Then my answer to that question would be Yes...if I loved her and she loved me I would marry her....that wouldn't matte..."

"Over my dead body you're marrying a girl who is infertile. I want grandbabies...and LOTS of them." His Anne said...emphasizing the lots.

The knock at the door concluded their conversation.

"Marie, come in....is everything ok?"

"Yes...I bought some eggs over and your letter." She said handing over the letter. "Sanem gave it to me to give to you."

"Sanem?" Can asked....trying not to show his dismay at having missed her.

"Yes...she was by the door...as I came in."

"But why didn't she come in? I haven't seen her since her fall. I did go to visit her this morning but she was asleep." His Anne said.

"Oh well...She told me to tell you that she was sorry she couldn't stay...but she had to get ready for the Hamam." Marie said. "I've left the eggs on the counter in the kitchen. I'm also going to the Hamam...so I have to leave early." She took a few step before turning back. "Oh I nearly forgot. Izmit isn't well so we have to find another driver to take us."

"Oh God...the boys have all gone into town. I'll have to find someone...don't worry about it, you go ahead." Can's Anne said.

"Where was Izmit amca taking you." Can asked matter of factly....as if he didn't know the answer.

"He was going to drive the girls to the Hamam baths. Oh God where will we find a driver now?" His Anne asked herself the question.

Not wanting to make it too obvious, Can named a few people who he knew were either busy or not even there... before doing what he wanted to from the start...which was to offer his services. Now knowing Sanem was going.

"Well if there's really no one...maybe I can drive you." He offered...making it seem as if he was doing them a favour.

"Well son what about your work... you did say it was important and you've missed the day out with the boys." His Anne told him.

"Anne you're going this afternoon. I would have finished my work by then...so I will be free." He told her securing his place before she found someone else.

"If you're sure love." She asked again.

"I'm sure." Going up to her he hugged and kissed her cheeks then went to get his work out of the way.

'Why...why.?' She asked herself wiping her tears away...she had been crying non stop since she had left the main house.

The whole question was 'Why the hell was she crying...and why couldn't she stop crying?'

It had nothing to do with her. So why did his answer hurt her so much.

"Would you marry a woman who couldn't have children?"

His Anne had asked him.

"No...Anne...hmm..No..."
