Chapter 88:Protection

"What?!"voices shout

Shino, Radier, Dameon, Error, Dust and Cross come over.

"What do you mean he's gone?"Shino asks

"He is nowhere around here and he isn't in his room. But there's a note."I reply, then go to grab the note

I glance at it. It does not look like a note to taunt us like from Serram or Renew, and it wasn't wordy so it wasn't from E!Gaster. Kidnap didn't really seem like the case. It was in his handwriting too.

"What does it say?"Dameon asks

"Dear Whoever finds this,

Hello! If this is a nice kid like Shino reading, please hand it to someone else. I'm okay. If this is Killer reading, someone please take it from him before he panicks-"I read

Wait, what? How'd he know? Predicting as always.

"On it!"Cross cuts me off, taking the note

"Tell that I am safe and will be back soon. Though the truth is...sorry guys. Can't say anything besides that. I'm not breaking his trust or what he's threatening to do if anyone tells ya."He says, then runs off and tucking it in a pocket

Dust runs after him with Dameon.

Shino shakes her head. She looks at me.

"He isn't coming back, is he?"She says

I shake my head.

"No..."I say

"Well your friend Cross really has to be more careful with his pockets. SO easy to pickpocket."Radier says, then reads the letter quietly in his tentacle-like arm

After reading it, his eyes widen and he tears up the note.

"I knew that brother of his learned some new tricks. My bad feeling was right."He mutters

"What happened?"I ask

"Nightmare had his own....how do I say this to make this make sense...A bad dream. He is trying to isolate himself from us. For what he sees as our safety. But I know where he might be, come on."He says

"Oh the fandom may get him even more. Like @MicahJC4 or others may kill him."Shino says

"Wait! I will get someone who can help! My brother may know what he's going through!"Shino says

"WhIcH oNe?"Error asks

"Goth!"Shino says

"Oh heck ya! He'd know! At least that's what Palette says."Radier says

Everyone looks at him in confusion.

"Palette talks a lot."Radier says

They nod.

Shino runs off to find Goth and see if he could come help. Error takes me by the arm.

"He wiLl bE okAy, I aSsuRe yOu."Error says

I nod. I take him with me as Radier leads us to a door. Cross joins us. One I recognize. It's the same door I had "dreamt" of knocking and speaking to Nightmare through for so many days. Radier puts his hands on the door.

"I am not here, nor there, I am not somewhere or nowhere. I am between it, in the middle."He says

The doors creak open and he warns us of the dangers. Shino and Goth catch up before we go through.

"If Nightmare is really dealing with what I'm dealing with what she says, I want to help."Goth says

We smile and thank him. We set off. I cannot see him, so we searched, with no result. We decide to split up and search outside Radier's former home from home.
