Chapter 14: What Are You Doing Here?

Clary's p.o.v

I was watching Supernatural when Jace walked in the room and plopped down on the couch next to me slinging his arm around the back of the couch casually. I turned and smiled at him. He was playing with my hair. He returned my smile and kissed me, i kissed him back. He pulled back to look at me. He was beaming. I couldn't help but laugh.

"So what are we watching?" He asked twirling a curl of my hair in his fingers. He then gripped my waist and pulled me closer to him. I was now leaning against him and he was smiling. My head was leaning against his chest.

"It's called Supernatural." I said looking up at him. He nodded and watched the TV still smiling like an idiot. I chuckled.

We Watched Supernatural for about an hour. Jace seemed to really like it. It was now 3:00pm Jonathan should be here any minute. That's when I heard a car pull up in the drive way. I jerked my head up. Jace did the same. I moved so I was on the other side of the couch. Jace pouted and crossed his arms on his chest. I laughed, same as Jace. That's when the door opened and Jonathan walked in. He looked at me worryingly. A small smile played across my face.

"Clary what the hell happened. Your friend Matthew told me you just ran out of school. Would you like to tell me why?" Jonathan said crossing his arms across his chest.

"Yeah um, w-well i...um, I-" I studded. Jace cut me off. Thank god!

"Clary had a huge stomach ache so I took her home." Jace said Looking me with a smile. I smiled back and Jon cocked an eyebrow looking between Jace and me. I was really happy but Jace, Jace has been glowing ever since we kissed and I like seeing him so happy. I quickly look away and so does Jace.

"Am I missing something?" Jon asked.

"What-huh? No- no nothing." I studded. i quickly looked away and stood up. "I'm going to go take a shower, I'll see you guys later." I waved at them. Jace grinned and waggled his eyebrows at me, causing me to laugh. Jon saw that and slapped him on the back of the head making Jace hiss and then chuckle.

"Dude that's my little sister!" Jon exclaimed.

"I was kidding jeez." Jace said. Then giving me a wink, I rolled my eyes and turned to take a shower. I heard Jace chuckle, making me smile. Just then I heard a knock on the door just as Jon sits next to Jace, they look at me curiously.

"Are you expecting anyone?" Jace asked raising his golden eyebrows. I shook my head. I walk over to the door and swing it open without even looking at them i ask.

"Can I help you with something?" I ask.

They cleared their throat. "Um, yes. yes you can, I'm here to see my best friend miss Clarissa Morgenstern." Once I hear that my eyes snap open. I look at him, his black hair is shaggy and his crystal blue eyes are as beautiful as ever.

"WILL!!!" He walks in the house and I run up to him. He embraces me in a huge hug. I hug him tight."oh my god." I squeal as he picks me up off the floor and spins me in small circles. Once he puts me down he flashes me a pearly white smile. "What are you doing here?!" I asked.

"I just wanted to see my best friend in the whole wide world." Will said lightly gripping my chin. I laugh and turn to Jonathan and Jace who were looking at us curiously. Jace looks jealous and looks like he has taken instant disliking in Will probably because I'm his girlfriend and a very handsome boy came and gave me a huge hug. Jon just looks shocked.

" Jon, Jace this my best friend Will Starkweather. Remember how I mentioned him." I say. Jace nods in realisation same as Jon. "Will this is Jonathan Morgenstern my brother," I say Jon waves, Will smiles. " And this William is Jace Herondale Jon's best friend". I point to Jace. Jace waves and smiles a sour smile. Will does the same. I'm guessing they already don't like each other.

"So Will why are you really here?" I ask my hands on my hips and cocking up an eyebrow at him. Making him chuckle and that causes Jace to glare at Will.

"Well I just missed you Clary, it's not the same without you there. Also did you know Jefferson Whitelaw was going to ask you out. Which I would have chopped off his balls if he did. But before you left he was planning on asking you out."
Will says. I raise my eyebrows at him. Jace snaps his eyes to me.

"Well it's good I left before he could. I never liked that asshole." I say looking at Jon and Jace. Jace looks relieved for a second then goes back to glaring at Will. I couldn't help but laugh under my breath.

"So do you want to go to the mall for some lunch, gives us time to catch up." Will asks. I nod

"Yeah let me just go get my purse from my room." Will nods and I head to my room. One second later Jace walks in and quietly closes my door so Jon doesn't hear us.

"Hey what's up?" I ask curiously Grabbing my clutch and pulling the strap over my head and on my shoulder.

"I don't like Will." Jace said straight away making me chuckle.

"I could tell you were glaring at him the whole time." I say. Jace laughs and walks closer to me. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I look up at Jace and smile. I wrap my arms around his neck. I like this, how he is protective.

"Well I can't help it. It's just your so beautiful that every guy you come across starts to flirt with you. But luckily you brush them off." I blush, Jace chuckles. He then leans down and kisses me, long and passionate. We pull away breathless.

"Don't worry Jace he's just a friend, I'm not interested in anyone but you." I confess. Jace's smile grew bigger. He crashed his lips to mine making me laugh against his lips. We pull back again.

"I know. Your the only one I'm interested in too. Now go catch up with Will. I'll be here with Jon tonight watching some TV." Jace said. I nod and grab my bag. Jace and I walk in hand in hand. But before we go inside I drop his hand because of Jon. Jace and I agreed to wait for a little while before we tell him.

"Alright let's go." I walk up to Will, he flashes me a smile. "I'll see you guys later." I wave to Jace and Jon.

"Alright see ya." Jace said. I smile and he returns my smile. Jon nods.

"Alrighty off we go." Will said. I close the door behind me and jump in my car.

I take the passengers side and Will takes the drivers side. He insisted on driving.
