We heard a loud crashing sound
and everyone got up from their chair when the wooden door of alpha Zane's office was smashed by a huge, angry puppy with glowing green and brown eyes

Abe had literally smashed a hole in the door by his huge frame and the beast looked really pissed

"You have no right to take my mate away from me" He growled angrily, slowly advancing towards King Levi whose eyes widened

The king's ministers hissed, removing a taser grun from their pocket

As soon as I saw that, my dragon opened his eyes in anger, ready to protect our mate

Before they could press the trigger, I growled loudly, my eyes turning yellow

"Put that down, now!" I hissed and without wasting time, I used the speed that I had from my vampire power to snatch every guns from their hands

I then proceeded to burn them with my hands, satisfied as I saw the guns turn into ashes

"Don't you dare attack our mate" Glaedr and I growled darkly, staring at the shocked King

Abe shifted into Abel who got up, staring at the King bravely

"Alessandro is no longer yours. He has two mates now, a family of his own! How long do you want to keep him with you, caged in a kingdom where he can't eat sweet things despite him not being a vampire? With all due respect, Alessandro isn't yours, he's ours now" Abel said coldly and the king slowly stared at me

"Is it true, Alessandro?" The king asked and I walked towards him before kneeling down, bowing my head

"King Levi, I respect you for taking me in when I had nowhere to go. You took pity on me and gave me a home, for that, I'm grateful but I'm not a vampire, King Levi. I am a dragon and I can't hide what I am anymore. I have two mates and I want to stay by their side. I never asked you anything in the past, anything. Now, I am asking you, Can you please give me my freedom? I don't want to be bound to you anymore" I said and I felt his hand on my head

"Alessandro, I didn't give you my powers to bind you to me but to protect you. I gifted you these powers and I won't take it back. It will protect you from poisonous weapon because as a royal, my power neutralises them. You have your freedom, my boy. My intention was never to make you feel like If you were in prison, I apologise, Alessandro, I'm sincerely sorry" He said before disappearing

My heart was beating fast all this time because I thought that he would take me away

I guess that the King really did love me-

My heart sank as I felt the hairs of my skin rise

Alaric, I can't feel him at all!

"Someone is in our pack, I can feel it" Alpha Zane said urgently and I got up quickly

"They're gone" Alpha Zane said in confusion but I still couldn't feel Alaric

"Alaric, I can't smell him anymore! I can't smell him at all" Abel said in horror and I froze

"Neither can I" I whispered in fear

Out of nowhere, a floating letter appeared in the air, surrounded by golden glitters

Alpha Zane took it in his hands, opening it

"Read it aloud" Alpha Hugo said, rubbing Abel's back to comfort him and Alpha Zane nodded

"To the mates of Alaric,

I sincerely apologise for taking him away. I promise you on my throne that I will not let him get hurt. I don't know how long it will take for him to help me but as soon as I get what I want, you shall get him back. I learnt a lot of interesting things about you all and I promise you that I'll compensate for the inconvenience by helping you against Princess Luci, King Levi's vile sister. By helping you, It will probably help to end the enmity between King Levi and I because I never wanted to take his mate in the first place, I just wanted her to help me. I have someone that I love dearly and I would not want anything to happen to him. Similarly, I will not let anything happen to your mate. If he refuses to cooperate, I will totally understand and just wait for him. I have been patient for long and I can be for a little longer.
