I yawned and rubbed my neck, staring at my bed sleepily

At that moment, my mom entered my room, looking at me in disapproval

"Abel, it's 7.00 o'clock. You're now Alpha Zane's beta!! Alpha chose you almost two years ago when you were 20! You're now 21 years old and you'll be 22 in two more months! Isn't it time for you to start following your duty?" She questioned and I sighed

"I need my beauty sleep, mom!" I argued and she grumbled

"I wouldn't be surprised if you end up being the bottom in a relationship" She mumbled to herself but I heard it anyway

"Hey! I'm tall, okay? They can't fuck my 6'0 frame" I huffed, getting out of bed and she rolled her eyes

"You're also like a moving stick with barely any muscle! Even I would be able to pin you" She hissed and I pouted

Our mom is sooo mean!

Abe, my wolf huffed and I nodded

Yeah, she is! Thank you for agreeing with me. You're the only one who understand my pain

I complained to my wolf

"STOP TALKING TO YOUR STUPID WOLF AND GO DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE" mom yelled and I blinked, breaking out of my thoughts

"Okay momma, don't be angry at your cute son" I said, heading to the bathroom but but not before seeing a smile on her face

After doing my business and taking a shower, I went outside.

I could see pack members train and I sighed as I heard the usual harsh words thrown at me

'Tsk, the stupid princess has woken up'

'Stupid beta, what do alpha Zane see in him?'

'I can easily win a fight against him! Maybe we should tell alpha Zane that we don't agree about him being the beta'

My wolf growled at that while I clenched my fist

Pack members Abe, we can't hurt them

I said and Abe huffed

He said and I smiled softly to myself

"Did I hear something?" Alpha Zane suddenly said and I froze

I turned around to see a smirking Alpha Zane staring at the warriors who were talking shit about me

"I thought I heard someone complain about how they didn't agree with Abel being my beta. Well, I'm actually a good alpha and I want to please everyone. So, right now, we'll organise a competition. The one who win will be my beta" Alpha Zane said and Abe stared at me in curiosity while I frowned

Alpha Zane turned to look at me and winked

- Show them what you're capable of, Abel

He said before walking towards the group of people

"Come on, Abel, fight for your rights"

. You ready, Abe?

I asked and he growled

. As ready as you'll ever be

. ..eh..I'm not ready

I said with a frown and my wolf growled at me
