[ 2.14 ] - Primary: I do it all the time

Start from the beginning

"Pretty! Rynnie pretty!" He exclaims with a bright smile on his face.

Aw! If I was tall enough to reach my father's arms, I would definitely go over and pinch little Ryccie's cheeks.

"Now...Let's get your hair fixed up!" My mother tells me as she shoved me back into the bathroom, pinning my hair neatly into a complex, braided bun.

It wasn't until it was time the party started did she finally finish and allow me to leave.

As I neared the family car with my chosen present in hand, I feigned a bright smile to my family before stepping in and allowing my driver, Mr. Lowen, to shut the door, driving off to wherever Litheon's estate was.

Upon arrival, I could see Litheon's home that was decorated on the outside with balloons and banners, leading into the wide, open doors. Exiting my family car, I waved goodbye to Mr. Lowen before walking towards the entrance with my gift in hand. Timidly, I entered.

"Miss Atstelli, we are pleased to welcome you to the Kingsley estate." I find myself being approached by an old butler as he gestures towards the right doorway from the entrance. "Please, follow me this way."

"Ah, yes. Thank you for having me." I tell him as I follow him towards the designated part of the estate. We walked down a few meters in the brightly lit corridor before I could hear the laughing of children.

"This is the room." The old butler informs as he bows towards me.

"Thank you." I tell him before stepping into the room.

Walking in, I noticed that there were not very many children whom I recognized from school. I only recognized about five including myself. It was no surprise to me to find Xael there, nor the other two children who sat next to Litheon in class, but what did surprise me was the sight of Isa Caruess.

As she usually did at the salon, she sat at the grand piano alone, seemingly not wanting to interact with anyone but herself.

"Ryenne!" I heard a voice call out to me, making me turn away to face him. Litheon wore a dress shirt and a pair of striped shorts with suspenders strapped over his shoulders. "You're late!"

Inwardly, I rolled my eyes and just made up an excuse with an unsuspecting smile. "We were stuck in traffic for a bit—Ah! Right! Here's your present. Happy birthday, Litheon."

I sneakily got rid of the gift that was beginning to tire out my arms and hand it over to Litheon who stood there with bright eyes.

"What's in here?" He asks as he takes it from me. Suddenly, he nearly toppled over in shock. "Why's it so heavy?"

I watched him in confusion. What about it was heavy? Wasn't he over exaggerating?

"It's not heavy." I tell him. He stared at me as if I was some otherworldly being.

"Yes, it is." He exclaimed, making me sigh for the nth time today.

"Fine. Let me put it somewhere since you can't carry it." I grabbed the gift back, but he quickly tries to take it back. "No. I can do it."

I easily let go of the gift and just laugh at his antics. Even as a child, Litheon is still quite prideful.

I decided to just tag along just in case I catch his struggling expression and so I could ask him a few questions as well.
