Chapter 22

Jughead:Betts you need to eat something all you have eaten all day is a piece of toast.
They both sit up.
Betty:I just don't really feel like eating I think I'm coming down with something.
Jughead:Okay you lie down I will get you some medicine.
Betty slightly smiles and Jughead stands up.
Jughead:I will be right back beautiful.
After he came back with her medicine she took them and he sat down so she could use him as a pillow.
Betty was drifting of to sleep as there was a knock on the door.
Jughead:Come In.
Betty didn't wake which he was relieved about.
Veronica and Archie walked In.
Veronica saw Betty's head resting on Jughead's lap.
Veronica:awwww
Jughead:Can you try not to wake her she's not feeling well.
Jughead rubbed Betty's cheek soothingly.
Veronica:I saw the news how did she take it you know Polly's death.
Jughead:She said she's okay and that she wants to just stay here all day so that's what we're doing. And why are you two back so early.
Veronica looked at Archie
Archie:It just didn't go to plan.
Veronica:Yeah that's one way to put it oh and Archie can you go to your house I will meet you there I need to talk to Jughead.
Archie:Sure Ronnie see ya later guys.
Archie leaves and Veronica walks closer to Jughead.
Veronica:You know I wasn't lying the other day I meant what I said.
Veronica tickles her fingers over Jughead's shoulder.
Jughead: VERONICA PISS OFF FOR FUCK SAKE.
Betty opens her eyes and looks at jughead.
Betty:Juggie what's wrong.
Jughead puts a reassuring hand on Betty's chest.
Jughead:I'm so sorry baby I didn't mean to wake you.
Betty sits up next to Jughead and puts her head on his shoulder. He puts his hand on her thigh.
Veronica:Jughead I meant it I promise.
Jughead:I really couldn't give a shit Veronica I am sat here trying to comfort my love when she's sick but you won't stop interfering. So I suggest you get out of my trailer and head to Archies.
Betty grabs Jughead's hand and holds it tightly.
Veronica:Fine I will but this conversation is not over.
Betty takes her head of off Jughead's shoulder.
Betty:V before you go why are you doing this to me I found something one thing I could actually love and you are trying to take that away from me we're meant to be friends.
Veronica:Yeah well maybe I realised you don't deserve good things.
Betty stands up but winces in pain as she grabs her stomach.
Jughead stands up behind her and grabs her by her shoulders reassuringly.
Jughead:Betts are you okay.
Betty nods her head in response.
Veronica:Well she won't be in a minute.
