Chapter Five

Lucien's POV

    I sat and watched in awe as Anastasia pulled off her bandages and was left with smooth, sun-kissed skin. Her gashes were gone and all there was, was dried blood. How is it that she can heal as fast, if not faster, than an Alpha. My curiosity only seemed to spike more when her wolf made an appearance. Finally getting a good look at her wolves eyes, I was entranced by them. Unlike any other wolves, her iris' were a glowing silver and gold, spiraling around her pupil in a slow fluid motion. I couldn't help but stare long and hard trying to figure her out. I soon became distracted as my eyes began to roam her body. Dark and seductive thoughts of having her every which way playing throughout my head.  I snapped out of it as she turned to grab a small glass of water.

    She seemed to be communicating with her wolf over something intense. Hence why her wolf was surfacing. After a few minutes her eyes settled back into the captivating blue again, gaining more control over herself. As she finished up cleaning I decided to start heading towards my quarters, knowing she was safe. I couldn't help but think about her eyes and how they had shone. Along with her wounds and how they had healed at such an impeccable rate.  'I've never encountered another wolves eyes that had been colored such as hers'   Xavier said through the link.   'I'll have to bring it up to the pack healer about it once we are back home'   I said back, a million thoughts running through my head with different possibilities.

    Tomorrow was a new day, and I planned on finishing business here so we can move forward on our plans to train these pups. To have her on MY territory where I call the shots. As I made it to my quarters I headed straight for the shower. I sat in there thinking about my enticing little mate some more before getting out and drying off. I slipped on some sweat pants and went straight to bed. The last thing on my mind being my mate and those beautiful eyes of hers.

Anastasia's POV

    After finally getting all the blood off my table and floor, I headed upstairs for a hot shower. As I was washing all the blood and dirt off of me, I couldn't help but wonder about my mate. He was handsome, dark and had an aura of something purely primal. I could sense his need to dominate and control almost every situation. His warriors listened to him down to a tee. Never going against his orders, but there was an immense amount of respect and loyalty that they radiated for him. That says something about a person to me. It shows that maybe he's not as cruel and merciless as many make him out to be. Although he still portrays himself as something or rather someone to fear, I didn't. Not one bit.

After getting out and drying off I did my normal nightly routine and went to bed in shorts and a tank top. Drifting into a dreamless sleep.

     I woke up the next morning with small rays of sun peeking at me though my curtains. I got up slowly and winced, momentarily forgetting about yesterday's events and how I had been hurt for not taking account of my surroundings better.  My wounds are fully healed, I'm just going to be a bit sore for about another day. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. After sitting there for a minute I got up and went to my bathroom and brushed my teeth and did my hair into a tight high ponytail. Theo is most likely still upset with me for yesterday and not waiting, but he'll get over it. He always does.

    Afterwards,  I made my way back into my room and towards my closet to get a fresh uniform on. Then, I went downstairs and had a quick breakfast and made my way towards Alpha Marcus' house. I'm sure he'll be wanting a report and soon, so I might as well get it over with now. Linking Theo and Jake on my way there, 'Theo, Jake take morning border patrol, I'll be reporting to Alpha Marcus then making my way to you. Keep your eyes open and pay attention' I said the last part more for Jake though.

I knocked on Marcus' office doors and waited for a reply.   "Come in"   he said gruffly. I entered and bowed my head slightly. He peeked up at my appearance and stood, making his way around his desk, leaning on it while crossing his arms.   "Good morning Anastasia"  he said smiling.   "Good morning Alpha, I've come to update you on yesterday's events, sir."   I said formally. He nodded for me to sit down, I did so with great hesitation. After giving him a full replay of yesterday's events I stood and said darkly,   "Alright, I'll be back again after getting information from our guests in the cells".   He nodded while fixing his neck tie, though it didn't need any fixing. "Alright, I'll see you then. I have a meeting with Alpha Black this morning, however, I'd like you to keep a close watch on him afterward"  he said.

   "Sir, I don't think we need to worry about Alpha Black, he's shown no signs of negative intentions towards us"    I said confused. He waved me off carelessly and motioned towards the door for me to go. So I stalked towards the door and left, slamming his office door slightly.   'Goddess he annoys me to no end'   Luna growled in my head.    'He's lucky to still have his arm after that'   I snarled back just as pissed as Luna. He's usually smarter with how he acts around me, knowing I could very well kill him faster than he can talk. But since Alpha Black has come onto our territory he's been the biggest prick, and pain in my ass.

     Rolling my eyes, I made my way to Theo and Jake. Hoping that Theo was teaching Jake and making sure to do a good job. I was nearing where they should be, and heard heavy footfalls coming. I turned to see Theo and Jake jog up. I had Jake go grab a bite and some water at his house and then told him to head to training afterwards. After Jake made his departure I turned towards Theo with an animalistic smirk on my face, "Perfect timing, we have a rogue to visit today."
