chapter 5 New Friends and Enemies

Next day Oliver started taking action he started following her every action when he has some other work he will ask his trusted man to follow her with pinhole camera

At night he will watch all her movements to check whether she is a threat

Sometimes he laugh at her childishness

He doesn't want to hurry maybe she can conceal her true colours

Meanwhile Carol also started adjusting to her work

She did her work with passion even if it is a janitor job

She enjoyed it sometimes she will sing sometimes she will dance when she finish her job early

Sometimes she will hug Helen and talk to her happily

Sometimes she will do helen's job and make her rest

Next to Rachel's grandma she considered Helen as a grandmother too

She got attached to her very much

Since Helen too didn't have many relatives she considered carol as her granddaughter

She also got many friends because of Rachel and Mia

Carol thought she is happy

It's been two weeks Oliver has been monitoring her

He somewhat accepted that she is not a threat

His next movement is to make her a friend

Since many people didn't know him he dressed like some lower level people and thought of approaching her

He went to the left wing of 25th floor and walked towards her

He made it look like a coincidence

He had a phone in his ear and he makes it look like he is busy taking to someone

Suddenly he bumped into her

She fell on her butt

Grandma Helen is shocked she came as fast she could and glared at Oliver

Oliver was shocked nobody disrespected him before.

Grandma Helen is very much worried about carol

Oliver helped carol stand up. Helen checked thoroughly whether she is injured or not

"Grandma I am totally fine see I am not at all injured. It's my mistake too I was playing and didn't see him coming" she said

Oliver was shocked to see how protective grandma Helen is to Carol within 2 weeks

This showed him Carol's friendly nature

"No no carol you are really playful you should be careful child. Nowadays I am happy because of you. It feels like I have a family. What will I do if something happened to you. You are like my grandchild I feel like I should protect you till I can. So be safe don't give heart attack to me. Atleast it makes my heart calm if I know you are safe Ok..." She sobbed

Carol don't know what to say. She never been in such situations

"Grandma I am sorry I just fell down nothing happened to me. I will be careful and safe for you " she accepted her concern

Seeing this drama Oliver got emotional his respect for carol increased

'Oh... No when did I start respect some one other than my family' he thought

This made him curious about carol

So he cleared his throat to show that there is another person standing there

Carol and grandma slowly turned their face to see Oliver

' why is this person still standing here' they both thought

"Hi! I am Oliver " he extended his hand and introduced himself

' This person must be insane ' they both thought and frowned

Oliver felt little bit insulted

But carol extended her hand and saved him from humiliation

"I am carol nice to meet you" she reciprocated

Grandma doesn't like Oliver flirting with carol she became the protective grandma

"Carol you are naive don't talk to guys like him. He doesn't look like a good person. If he does anything to you tell me I'll complain him to the prince he will take care of him there are complaint boxes for people like us"

She glared at him after that, one thing she doesn't know is that the same prince is standing in front of her and she is openly insulting the so called good prince

Oliver doesn't know whether to be happy about the compliment or to be sad about the insult

But he chose happy because eventhough his fake identify is insulted his original identify is complimented

"Grandma I am not that type of guy please trust me I was passing by but unknowingly I bumped on her. I really want to apologise to her that why I introduced myself" he wants a good guy face infront of them for his mission to be successfully complete

Grandma relaxed a little

" Grandma take little rest you go to the room I'll take care of all the other things"

She mumbled sorry for being weak and went to her room

Carol on the other hand turned to face Oliver

"Oliver don't mind grandma she is little bit protective of me she doesn't hate you. She is really a very kind and good person that I know other than Rachel's grandma. " she said

"You hereafter walk with your face looking forward ok " she advised

"Carol can I buy you dinner as a apology" he asked

" Carol stiffened she said NO very strictly. Grandma said if anybody asked for dinner I shouldn't accept that person might be a bad person" she explained

"Then can you join me for coffee now. You are very tired you can have a coffee break right" he doesn't want to miss this chance

"Ok" she accepted

They both went to the cafe to get their drinks

Carol met most of her friends on the way she greeted them eagerly

But because she was with a handsome guy most of them are not happy with her because of jealousy only few genuinely greeted her

But Oliver didn't expect this but he can't change what's happened he cannot change anything. He will try to protect her from any harm even if she is not his brothers mate.

Oliver slowly started gathering information about her

He asked about her family but since Rachel's grandma asked her not to open her mouth about her personal details she kept quiet not answering anything

Oliver is puzzled by her actions why a cheerful girl closed her mouth as soon as she is asked about her family

So to divert him she started talking about Rachel

As soon he heard Rachel's name something stirred in his heart he doesn't understand why . He already has mate why his heart is racing for a unknown girl. He has some other things to concentrate so he made it as his second mission

But can he save carol from all the jealous eyes

Can he save her from his mate or maybe the one he thinks she is......

Carol made lots of friends but many of them turned in to her enemies

Will she be safe until she meet her mate....
