We'll be sitting a table,
maybe in a restaurant
maybe in someone's house,
all nursing a drink in the palms
of our hands and finger tapping the side. And we talk
respect lingering in tones ,
bodies relax, maybe a smile or two.We talk about your values
and your beliefs,
we talk about my sexually and love,
about the future.All while knowing
if someone doesn't want to change
or morph to your ideas
there's nothing you can say
or do to change them. And knowing that's ok
because there's no right way
to live in this world of change.Maybe this will be our last interaction
with each other for a while,
maybe this is just the beginning
of something great.
