The Hands of Time

"Does anyone recognize this battle?" Cole interrupted.

"Pixal, analyse." Zane said to the nindroid in his head.

"Facial contour mapping indicates this scene takes place forty years ago during the Serpentine wars." Pixal replied.

"During the Serpentine Wars? But Ninjago was at peace." Cole frowned.

"Who would they be fighting?" Y/n asked, as Dr. Saunders came up to them with a tray of drinks.

"Refreshing time. Hot, sweaty work deserves a cool drink." He said, smiling.

Kai takes a cup first, "Ah, thank, Dr. Saunders."

They each take a cup, while Cole hands one to Y/n, smiling, and they all start drinking.

"Enjoy the pickled beet tea." Sander exclaimed, making everyone spit it out in disgust.

"Uh..." Cole "accidentally" drops his cup, "Oops! Hehe. New hands. So clumsy."

Jay looks at each of them in disappointment before finishing his off, "Eh. Mmm."

Lloyd puts his cup back on the tray, "What's this painting?" He points at the giant painting.

"Oh, this? Nothing. Minor skirmish. No historical significance. That is why I don't hang it in the main gallery." Dr. Saunders replied, shrugging.

Jay, also putting his cup back on the tray, "It looks pretty significant to me. This thing is huge."

"Yes, a huge myth. The folklores." Sander laughed, as the others put their cups back on the tray as well. "Even if it is a myth, who are these men Masters Wu and Garmadon are supposed to be fighting? I have no data on them." Zane replied, tilting his head.

Dr. Saunder sighs, "There is a legend." He places the tray on a nearby box before continuing, "Twin brothers called the Hands of Time."

"The Hands of Time?"

"They could allegedly manipulate time itself. Speed it up, slow it down. All sorts of things." Sander laughs, "See what I mean? Manipulate time? A ridiculous fairy tale."

"Who's this one?" Y/n asked, pointing to the man on the right.

"Oh, this handsome-looking fella? Ha! The legend says his name is Krux." Sander replied.

"And who is the nasty-looking guy?" Lloyd questioned, pointing to the man on the left.

"In the stories, he's called Acronix."

At six P.M., they're finally dismissed. The ninja run out of the building, "6 p.m. Quitting time." Kai exclaimed.

They soon disappear and reappear on the Bounty, Cole stumbling and Jay falling on his back. Alarms soon go off as they were all confused.

"What just happened? Time just..." Lloyd trailed off.

"Moved forward?"

"Um, weren't we just outside? When did we get here?" Cole asked, confused.

"How did we get here?" Nya also asked.

"My circuits are picking up an energy displacement." Zane replied.

"There was a displacement all right. It displaced us right in here." Kai repeated.

"What is going on?" Y/n questioned.

Jay jumps up and covers his ears from the alarm noise, "I don't know. But it's loud!"

Nya is looking at some panels as the alarms are still going off, making Jay scream and cover his ears.
