The next day I awoke with a smile on my face, thinking of how much fun I had last night. Today was my first day of attending Arke High School, since The Arke was a small town there was only two high schools, Arke High School, and Arcadia High School. I had no idea what the people who named the high schools, and town were thinking. I mean who names a high school Arcadia? Well I am going to a school called Arke, which is equally weird so I shouldn't judge. Though I was a senior, it felt as if I once again was a freshmen. Luckily I didn't have to walk since Wells had kindly offered me a ride to school. I got out of bed and started getting ready for school. I put on my skinny jeans with my white tank top, and black cardigan; along with my black, lace-up ankle boots. After I finished my breakfast, there was a knock on the door. Knowing it was Wells, I kissed my mother goodbye, and walked out of my house, closing the door behind me."Hey Wells"
"Hey Clarke, ready to go?" He asked with a smile. I nodded. We walked to his car and he opened the passenger door for me. Like always he was a gentlemen. He slipped into the drivers seat, and started for school. I couldn't help but think of how amazing his car was. It was a yellow mustang with a black stripe on the side, and comfortable leather seats. When we arrived at school there were students about our age hanging around the parking lot. As Wells moved to get out I stopped him. I wasn't ready to face yet another new school."Wait, can we stay in here for a sec?"
His expression was soft,"Sure I bet you nervous." I gave him a thankful smile. Out of curiosity I asked,"Do you still hang out with our elementary school group?" He shook his head."No, after you left Octavia started hanging out with her brother and his group of friends, since he didn't want her hanging out with only guys, which in my opinion is kind of hypocritical, since his group is just guys."
I smiled at his comment. "Do you still hang out with Monty and Jasper?"
"They separated themselves from me too, though they still stick together. You ready?"
I sighed,"Let's get this over with." He got out and came around to open the door for me. As we passed a group of guys who were leaning on a classic black Camaro, I heard one of them say,"Looks like Wells finally found his Princess." Already knowing that he was referring to me, I turned to face the owner of the voice. He was an olive skinned boy about a year or two older then me."What did you call me?"
His face dripped arrogance as he smirked."I called you Princess. Do you have a problem with that Princess?" I felt Wells tugging on my arm, telling me to keep moving, but I ignored him. One of the things I hated the most was when people called me princess. It was as if everywhere I went people thought I was a defenseless, stuck up, pretty girl, who didn't know anything. Sometimes it was because of my mom, being the best surgeon in the country gave my mom as well as myself a lot of perks. Other times it was because of my looks, blonde hair and blue eyes, people called a typical princess look."Yes I have a problem with it."
The olive skinned boy just smirked,"Well deal with it Princess." Now I was about ready to rip his face off. "That's it." I said and was just about to lunge at him when I heard my name.
"Clarke?" The voice asked. I looked passed the boy to see a blue eyed, light brown skinned girl sticking her head out of the Camaro's window."Oh my gosh it is you!" She squealed smiling. Before I knew what was happening she raced out of the car and hugged me. She pulled back still smiling. I smiled back, I couldn't believe it was her my old BFF."Octavia, oh my gosh I haven't seen you in forever." The boy looked confused." O do you know this girl?" Octavia simply rolled her eyes."Duh, don't you recognize her?"
He shook his head, still looking confused. Octavia groaned,"Really Bellamy? This is Clarke." When Bellamy kept quiet she continued. "You know the girl who kept other kids from bullying me in preschool. The girl who was my BFF till she moved in second grade. After you know." She leaned closer to Bellamy, putting her hand on the side of her mouth, and whispered," Her father died." Bellamy suddenly recognized me. "This is Clarke?" He asked motioning to me. "Uh no dur, Clarke do you remember Bellamy?" I shook my head.
"Really, you two used to fight all the time, whatever. Clarke this is Bellamy my brother, Bellamy this is Clarke." He barely even glanced at me as he said,"Hey"
I rolled my eyes,"Hey"
Next to me Wells was getting impatient,"Clarke come on the bells gunna ring soon. What's your first class?" I thought back to my schedule. "Advanced Art."
"Cool me too," said Wells.
"I have that too." Octavia said excitedly."I'll walk with you guys." She linked her arms with mine and Wells', walking in between us.
"Octavia where are you going?" Bellamy shouted from behind us. Still smiling she said "See you in class Bell." I heard Bellamy huff." See you in class O." Then with a new cockiness in his voice he quickly added,"See you in class Princess."
" No offense Octavia, but your brother's annoying." I said. She laughed,"That's what you used to say after every argument you two had." I guess my memory wasn't that great, because I still didn't remember ever having any argument with Bellamy. As we walked to class I remembered something Octavia had mentioned. "Wait, back there you told Bellamy you'd see him in class?" She nodded,"Oh yeah, a Bellamy has all the same classes as me except English and Math." I groaned, " Does that mean he's in our first period too?" She smiled and nodded.
Ugh I couldn't stand being around Bellamy for five minutes, let alone a whole class period. At least it was only one class.
A/N Tell me what you think, please.Bellamys car is on the first page.
