He smiled at her which fuled her anger even more.
She wasn't going to let his georgous smile...with his deep dimples...affect her. Sighing heavily she turned her head away from gazing at him... knowing It was too late. She could feel the flutters in her stomach.
She was angry at him for what happened last night...but even more so at herself for the way her body had betrayed her...her hands...her eyes...her mouth... Shaking the thoughts away. If she let these thoughts continue how was she going to get through the day.
The conversation she had overheard this morning still playing in her mind. Ok...about his Anne not wanting her son to marry a childless woman was one thing....but how could he be so single minded. He'd answered his Annes question in an instance. "No".... he wouldn't marry a woman who couldn't give him a child. Was this everyones way of thinking. Was that all marriage and realatinships were about...it couldn't be just based on having children or not. Sitting next to him she looked the other way.
"Ok so we're all here we can be in our way now. Everyone put your seat belts on please." Can's Anne told everyone
Sanem jerked her belt but it wouldn't budge...she tried again but it still wouldn't budge. Can saw her struggling...he reached out purposely leaning over her. Tugging at the belt...still with her facing the other way. His face inches from hers. She could feel his breath on her neck.
"Come on Sanem...you have to look at me eventually." He whispered in her ear. "I'm really sorry... I know you don't believe me but I meant every word, last night."
"Can let's get going." One of the ladies called from the back.
Can pulled Sanems belt and clipped it into place.
It was an hour and a half drive to the Hammam...and after a while into the drive, everyone was in conversation.
"How's your ankle?" He asked...taking a quick glance in her direction.
"It's fine." She said simply...without looking at him.
"Look Sanem...you are going to talk to me. How long will you ignore or avoid me?"
"We have no need to talk...to be in the same space."
That was it...he'd had enough...before she could react he quickly reached out...grabbed her left hand and held it tightly entwing his fingers with hers.
"What do you think your doing?" She hissed in anger...glancing back towards the others. "Let go of me." It was barely a whisper.
Now it was his time to ignore her. Keeping his eyes on the road...her hand in his hand in his lap.
"Please...let me go...someone's going to see." She said trying to free her hand.
He could hear her voice cracking...but continued to hold her.
"Promise me you'll give me a chance... that'll well talk." He said....keeping his eyes on the road.
"Oh God...we have nothing to talk about...please...please."
"Promise..." He told her.
"Sanem.." Selin called.
"Yes Selin teyze." She said...looking back to see Selin get up and start walking towards them.
"How are you feeling love?" Selin asked as she continued to walk towards them.
"Good...fine. Teyze...sit back down it's dangerous." She answered quickly.
She tried to tug her free from his hold...using her other hand....but it was useless. Although it wasn't hurting his grip was tight.
"Why are you doing this? Please...Selin teyze's coming..." She whispered quitly.
