Thief: Where are yours?
Me: In my bag... You made fun of them last time.
His head cocked to the side before tilting it to the side shaking his head slightly. Either he was taking back his words or he was thinking about a sentence to make fun of them again.
Thief: Please put them on... They look fucking cute on you... And smart... And you know what...
My heart was pounding and my mouth smiling when I read his text making me gooey in all sorts of places. How a simple text like this could make me so weak, leaving me tingly all over my body, it completely blew my mind. He was having an even bigger effect on my than I thought and if it wasn't for this table between us and his sister, I would have pulled him towards me right then and there. Somewhere in the back of my mind a voice was still whispering that it was better to take it slow and be friends with this man, but hell with thinking clearly... It wasn't possible at this moment as I couldn't keep my feelings straight.
His foot grazing mine pulled me out of my thoughts with an electric shock awakening all my senses. I had to pull my shit together not to gasp at his touch and when I looked up, I saw him begging me, pouting his lips and tapping his fingers to his glasses. Say no more, I can't resist that face. I grabbed my glasses from my bag and put them on after pushing my hair out of my face.
He looked at me with the same adoration in his eyes as when he dropped me off at my apartment a week ago. I remembered his lips on mine and I wanted nothing more than to crawl into my bubble and relive it over and over again. Especially with his teeth biting down on his lips while looking at me satisfied as I was pushing my glasses up my nose. I saw him grabbing his phone from the table before typing something and I couldn't wait to see what it was. My heart skipped a beat when my phone lit up, his name all over my screen.
Thief: This is seriously making me doubt if I still want to be just friends... J
His eyes are pulling me in and I was ready to stand up and walk over to him but I remembered Mia was still here and I wasn't planning on giving in in a heartbeat, even though I didn't have a heartbeat left, all it was, was a throbbing sound going too fast to make something of it. Before I could think my foot grazed up his leg, making him gasp for air as my sudden movement surprised him as much as it did me. Instead of pulling away he put his leg closer to my, making it easier for me to touch him... the table was very long but lucky for me not so wide. As his leg came closer, he pushed he knee between my legs, the one place where the tension was becoming unbearable. I wanted to talk to him, to interact with him, do all sorts of things to him, but the fact I couldn't was too much to handle and I think he was thinking the exact same thing because he opened his mouth and said the most perfect sentence with the most perfect timing.
"Mia, why don't you walk to the Asian restaurant at the corner and get us some food. I'm crazy hungry." I giggled at his words because I knew he wasn't just craving food.
"I'm not your slave." She said lifting her head from her books, directing a deathly stare at her brother.
"I'll pay." Lukas said, reaching to the back pocket of his jeans before throwing his wallet on the table between him and Mia. "Come on sis, we'll set the table..." He said cocking a brow at me.
"Setting the table...and doing the dishes for two weeks. Take it or go get your damn food yourself." Mia laughed but she meant every word of it. Damn I don't know how they haven't killed each other living together in one apartment.
Lukas threw another eyeroll and a sigh into the fight before accepting the deal and giving Mia a fifty-dollar bill. "Bring whatever you want, as long as it's enough for all of us, your guest is staying over for dinner." He smiled at me, Mia looking confused at the both of us.
