Chapter 10

Clementine's POV

We were driving in the car. The only thing I could think about was winter. I know it sounds childish but I like playing in the snow I never got to be a normal kid because of this whole apocalypse thing. I can't wait for the snow.

"Hey Clem what are you thinking about" Carl asked

"Nothing" I said

"Your thinking about something, tell me"

"But its stupid"

"So"

"Ugh all right I'm thinking about winter" I said

"What about winter"

"I like the snow"

"I like the snow too" Duck said

"You'll have to wait a few weeks for snow" Kenny said

Kenny,Duck,and Carl kept talking about winter and the snow. I just got lost in my thoughts again.

I wonder if I'll live to see the snow. Probably.  I hate this world its messed up. If you haven't realized that walkers are enemies your messed up, like Lizzie. I could just end my life , but I have to live for Lee. He told me I could beat this world and I will. I'm smarter than all of them. 

I think weird things.

I wonder if I would've had a little sister or brother before this happened. Why is life a nightmare.

"We're home" Kenny said

I chuckled "if this is what you call home"

We grabbed our stuff and went to the prison.

"What do you got" Daryl asked

"Clothes, blankets, and other stuff" I said

"Mmm k "

Me and Carl walked back to our cell and put our stuff away.

"Hey Carl want to eat the skittles" I asked

"Sure"

We started eating the skittles one by one.

"Hey Clementine want to pla-" Mika's jaw dropped when she saw us eating the candy.

"Where did you get those" she asked

"The store" I said

"Can I have some"

"Sure ,but don't tell anyone else. Ok?"

"Ok" she said as I gave her some skittles

 

"So I was wondering if you wanted to play" Mika asked

"Ya, I'll play a game with you"  I said

"Let's go" Mika said running out of the cell

"Bye Carl" I said kissing his cheek and ran after Mika

Where did she go? I thought. I walked outside and saw her and some other kids by the fence

I ran over there.

"What are you doing Mika"? I asked

"Naming walkers"

"Oh,fun I guess"

"That ones name is nick" she said and pointed at a walker.

"Cool"

"Mika you know that walkers are bad right" I asked

"Ya, I know I'm not like Lizzie" she said and her eyes teared up"

"Its ok cry if you have to I'm here for you" I hugged Mika and she started to cry.

"Why did she have to die" she asked me

"I don't know why" I said

Mika stopped crying.

"Let's just do something else" she said

"Ok" I replied

"What do you want to do" I asked

"Story time"
Well this should be fun

"Alright let's go" I said

We walked into the prison and went to story time.

After story time

I walked out and saw Carl standing there.

"How was story time" he asked

"Great" I said sarcastically 

He laughed "isn't that stuff for kids"

"I went with Mika. Plus I am a kid"

"If you say so" Carl said

"I'm gonna go out side you wanna come with" I asked Carl

"Sure I'll tag along"

We walked outside and went to the watch tower. We just sat there until I saw a guy. He had a eye patch and was wearing a suit.

"Who's that" I whispered

"Shit get out of sight" we moved so the man couldn't see us.

"Carl who is that"

"The governor. He's an enemy"

"Okay"

I looked over and the governor wasn't in sight.

"I don't think he saw us" I said

"I hope he didn't " Carl said

"Come on we have to go tell my dad"

"Alright" I said. We got down from the watchtower and went to the prison.

"Dad we saw the governor" Carl said

"Did he see you" Rick panicked

"No he didn't "

"Good"

"He's probably planning an attack" Rick said

"Who's the governor and why is he so bad" I asked

"The governor has been trying to take the prison kill us,and he attacked Michonne. That's the shortest way I could say it" Rick said

"Oh"

"If he does attack we'll need a plan" I said

"I'll think of one just give me a minute" Rick said

"Ok I got it. Clem if he attacks you get Hershel, Carol,Beth, and all the kids and hide, the rest of us will fight"

"But I can fight" I said

"Not with that bite on your arm" Daryl said

I cursed under my breath.

"So its settled that's what we will do" Rick said

I was really tired and it was dark out. I decided to skip dinner and go to bed. I walked back to my cell and fell asleep.
