Chapter 3

Clementine POV

I saw my parents, its so horrible. I know sweat pea.   And now you, please don't become one of them ,don't become a walker.  I'm sorry ,but you have to shoot me honey. Lee no.  I'll miss you.  Me to.   *BANG*

I shot up tears were streaming down my face. It was dark so I'm guessing it was still night. I couldn't sleep so I climbed off my bunk and started poking Carl.

"Carl wake up...please wake up"

Carl started groaning "What's wrong Clem"

"I had a bad dream and now I can't sleep.

"Alright come here".

I climbed in the bunk with Carl. He put his arm around me. I felt protected and comfortable.

"Goodnight Clem sweet dreams".

"Night Carl".

The next morning

Carl's POV

I woke up and realized that I slept in.

"Oh crap Clem wake up" I started to shake clementine awake

"Clementine wake up".

She groaned "why do I have to get up"

"We are late for our shifts".

She wouldn't get up so I picked her up and set her on her feet.

I took my shirt off clementine was staring at me

I looked at her. my eyes met hers. She blushed and looked away

I put a flannel on then I put my hat on.

"Are you ready" I asked her

"Yeah let's go"

We grabbed a granola bar and ran outside she hurried to the guard tower and I ran to the garden where my dad was.

"Dad why didn't you wake me up"??

"I saw you and your girlfriend snuggling so I decided to leave you two alone"

"She's not my girlfriend"I yelled

"Then why were you two sleeping together?

"She had a nightmare so I decided to comfort her"

"OK, whatever you say"

"Alright dad let's get to farming"

Clementine's POV

Me and Daryl were up in the guard tower keeping watch. It was quiet despite the walkers but after awhile you get use to them. I got board so I started to stare at Carl

"Daryl I think I might like Carl" I admitted

"Well I think he likes you to" Daryl said

"Are you serious" I asked excitedly

"Hehe nope"

Dang I was hoping he was serious

"Don't get sad about it kid I'm pretty sure he does like you"

"You really think so"?

"Yes"

"Well our shift is done so let's head to the cafeteria" Daryl said

"I'll meet you there later I have something to take care of"

"OK kid see ya later"

"Bye Daryl"

He waved to me

I climbed down the ladder and ran to Carl who was sitting in the tall grass

"Hi Carl"

"Hi Clem"

He patted the spot next to him so I sat down.

He looked at me. My eyes locked on to his. He started to lean in so I did the same. He kissed me on the lips so I kissed back. He pulled away

"I'm sorry" he said

"Sorry for what"

He smiled and we started to kiss again. We stopped and laid down staring at the sky.

"Clem I love you and I loved you ever since we met".

"Carl I love you to"I kissed his cheek.

"We should probably get to dinner" I said

"Yeah let's go"

We got up walked to the prison hand in hand.

We walked through the doors and everyone awed. Daryl winked at me.

Carl and I sat right next to each other and started to eat.

After we ate we walked back to our cell and sat on the bed.

"Hey Clem where did you get your hat" Carl asked me

"I got it from my dad before everything happened"

"I got mine from my dad to" Carl said

We took our hats off and set them on the desk. Carl took his flannel off.

"Do you have any other clothes"? Carl asked me

"No" I answered

" you can wear one of my shirts" he said while looking for a shirt

"Here" he said. He threw me a shirt with a wolf paw print on it.

"Turn around and close your eyes".

"OK"he sighed

"Done you can turn around now" I said

"Aww you look so cute in it" he said

I blushed and playfully punched him.

"Alright let's get some sleep" I said

"OK" Carl replied

We climbed into the same bunk. We laid facing each other I buried my face into his neck and Carl put his arms around my waist.

"Night sweet orange" he chuckled

"Night cowboy" I giggled
