Jerome POV
"So mama what do you want to do today?"

"Umm maybe we could go to a pet shop?"

"Why mama?"

"It's Kiera's birthday in like a day isn't it?"

"Yes, I have a present for her?"

"I want to buy her a puppy"

"Theirs a really nice dog shop around the corner, I could send Kiera somewhere? I can send her to go shopping for some shoes or something"

"Stop being so stereotypical and go give her some money"

I laughed and went to the kitchen. Kiera wasn't their. I went to my bedroom.

She was wrapped up in the duvet, sound asleep.

"Kiera baby, you need to get up"

"No Jerome, please baby, my heads hurting"

"We'll get you a doctors appointment soon baby, but you need to get up, no need for make up, you look perfect, just brush your hair, I love you baby, come on get up out of bed, were going out"

"Jerome I don't want to get up"

"Okay baby, you don't have to, stay here, theirs food in the fridge, my Netflix password is in my draw in a booklet, it's the same as my laptop password, I love you princess" I kissed the top of her head and smiled. I love her so much.

I walked back to my mum. She was ready to go and so was Adrien

"Her head hurting, so she's going to stay home"

"That's okay, I know what puppy I want to get her though"

"What one?"

"Let's see if they have them first"

We walked out of the house and down the road. The sun was shining but the cold New York air nipped at your bare skin like a bitch.

We arrived at the little pet shop. It welcomed us with warm heat and little yelps of puppies.

"Hello!" Said a grinning lady behind the counter

"Hello miss, were looking for a pomsky puppy?" Said my mother, eager to find out

"Ahh the cute pomsky, were the only place in this area who sells them!"

"Great, now how much would they be?"

"Pomskys are quite rare, but if I can get a picture with Jerome for my daughter you can have the puppy for $300"

My mother smiled, she was used to this

"Of course" She laughed.

"I really hopes she like it" Mama said

"She will love it mama, I promise"

"I really do hopes so"

"Adrien don't drop the food okay baby"

"Yes mama"

Adrien was still hardly talking

Kiera POV

Being curled up in bed, with Jerome's laptop and a pile of food was amazing, it reminded me of what I used to do everynight at home.

I put on the Avengers and snuggled down. This is the life.

I heard the door open, and the sound of Jerome's voice calling my name.

"Jerome I'm in here!"

He came in and smiled

"Hey baby, I've got a surprise for you!"

"What is it?"

"Just put all the food on the floor and close your eyes"

I did as I was told. I was really scared, sometimes Jerome can go over the top with his 'surprises'

I heard Jerome laugh and someone else come in.

A warm tongue kicked my cheek. I opened my eyes. A puppy!

"Oh my god! It's so cute!"

"It's a pomsky, it's stays that size forver!" Jerome's mum said

I pulled the puppy close, and hugged him, his fur was soft and fluffy, he was so lively and energetic.

"Mama brought it for you Kiera"

I looked at Agnes

"Thank you so much!"

"Happy birthday for tomorrow Kiera!"
