3 times a charm

The rest of the school day goes by far to quickly. Once the last bell rings I walk to my locker to get my things. Tui and Jay-Jay walk up to me with Sarah in tow

"Ready to go home?" Tui asks while nibbling on Sarah's neck. I roll my eyes and sigh

"I have to tell you both something" They look at me expectantly. "It's about this whole tri-brid thing" I wait until most of the corridor is clear and tell them everything

Tui starts to cry and Sarah holds her while Jay-Jay punches a locker

"So don't go through with it" Jay-Jay says

"Then everyone we love will die"

"It's not fair" Tui sobs, clinging to Sarah

"I'm so sorry babe, if there was another way, I'm sure they would've found it by now" I sigh

"So what happens now?" Jay-Jay whispers

"Now we tell Mum and Dad" I sigh

"Maybe I'll just go home, not sure I should be around for that apocalypse" Sarah's voice trembled

"But..."

"Yes Sarah, I'd rather you be safe" I cut Tui off

Tui is reluctant but she gives Sarah a hug and let's her go

"Call me when you get home Tui, I want to know you're safe"

"I will baby, I promise"

We're still standing by my locker when my mates show up. Jay-Jay turns his back on them and Tui just glares. My loves all visibly gulp

"I think it's time to face the music ladies and gents" I said, trying to not make it sound as bad as it is. "And I'm sure Mum is waiting"

We walk out of the building and Mum is waiting patiently in the car. My mates tell me they'll meet me at home and I give each a kiss. When they're gone, Tui and I sit in the backseat while Jay-Jay sits in the front

"How was school kids?" Mum asks cheerfully

"It was....uh....good Mum" I say doing my best to not blurt out my impending doom

"Just good?" She gives me a querying look

"Yep....good" Tui answers for me. Mum still looks sceptical but doesn't press the issue

"Your Dad is home guys. Because of Waima, he doesn't have to work anymore. Apparently, everything we want is free"

"Seriously?" Jay-Jay says shockingly

"Yep. It's like being royalty. I was in the supermarket today and people bowed and hugged me. At first I was shocked but then started to enjoy it....it was crazy, I mean....I'm Just the mother of the future tri-brid" Mum chuckles

"That's why Mum" I say "You and Dad created me. You created me and because of that, I was chosen"

"Huh" Mum smiles "I never thought of it that way. I guess I am pretty awesome"

"And humble" Tui mumbles sarcastically, which makes me laugh

Once we reach home, my nerves are making me nauseated. It's not until I see my mates standing by the front door that I start to calm down

"Hello ladies" Mum smiles as she walks up to the front door "It's nice of you 3 to visit today"

Carmen looks down at her feet, Lilith looks to the side and Tala rubs the back of her neck looking at a particular blade of grass

"Is something wrong?" Mum asks

"Uh....n-no ma'am" Tala stutters

"Your not very good at lying for an Alpha, are you Tala?" Mum jokes but it falls flat
