"Do you think she's still mad?" You ask walking beside Elliot. "She's Angela." He answers with a small smirk. You look down to your shoes as you walk, your hand interlocked to Elliot's and providing insurance he won't let you walk into danger. It's not a romantic gesture for the most part. You're like a child needing guidance from the shock of it all. "So you'll see to it the drive is safe. It'll get where it needs to be, right?" You ask. "I promise." He answers. You arrive to your apartment building and it stares down at you. A building full of people, but you know there's nothing but silence and loneliness ahead of you. "What's wrong?" Elliot asks. "I went from everything and soon I'll have nothing. This might be the last night I'm employed by ECorp." You answer. You gulp. But you nod, "I have to get some sleep." You say. You hug Elliot and go to the doorway, waving a goodbye before allowing him along his way. You don't know it but he watches the building long after you leave his view. Considering going with you. He doesn't know you well enough to request to come in, even if he does it by offering to sit with you. That's all he wants. He just needs to know you're okay.

Once inside you lock your doors and sit down to your computer. You crack your knuckles and do a deep dive into everything that's happened. That group, Dark Army. A massive hacker group. No, terrorists. They're terrorists. They spy on people and kill them at the drop of a hat. They're lawless. They do only what fits them and have no regard for anyone else. Angela, Elliot. They're both under survallance no doubt. Which means you are too....

You leap from the computer and do a hard wipe down. Destroying everything and checking the entire apartment for cameras and bugs. You turn on a voice coater, even if you're not talking. You turn it off soon after, realizing it's suspicious. But you cut it back on. You could always scapegoat. The FBI. They're the ones you're hiding from. You're a bad guy like the Dark Army and you don't want them watching you. It's all a lie. The only thing you've stolen are a few glances at people in public places. But you're excellent with computers. You're a freaking genius. But you're white hat, grey hat on occasion.

Either way Dark Army is fire. All fire does is burn people. Yes it can be warmth and cook food, but that's when it's maintained. Dark Army isn't maintained. They're a dumpster fire in the middle of a paper factory, with a gasoline factory next door. They kill people. You don't want to die.

You take a deep breath.....

--

"Are you okay?" Elliot asks answering his door. "I'm freaking out!" You say walking into his apartment. "Dark Army want that drive and we have it." You say. "Dark Army?" He asks. "I'm one of the best hackers in America, I'm not stupid. No offense but freaking out makes me sound abrasive." You answer. "Non-taken." He replies. "What if they come for us?" You ask. "They're not coming." He answers calmly. "How do you know?" You ask. "Because they don't give a shit about 5/9." He answers with a laugh. "They helped F-Society, and you know that." You remind. "I do, and that's how I know they don't want you." He replies. You sit on his sofa and try to calm your breathing. He sits beside you and holds your hand. "I'm so used to being the one in control. Now I feel like pac-man and they're the ghosts." You say. "But we have plenty of balls." He chuckles. "The big ones that make the music change?" You ask. "Yup." He answers. You finally steady your breathing, "I'm sorry for hunting down your address." You apologize. "I'm sorry for making it trackable." He replies. "It's not your fault. ECorp has it on file, as do they with all of their employees." You explain. "I would've invited you over eventually anyway." He says. "It's a beautiful apartment. I love your accessorization." You compliment. "Thanks. I tried to go chic but not too depressing." He replies. "It's not depressing at all." You say. He smiles reciprocating yours. "You're a really cute guy." You giggle. His eyes seeming look away. He can't quite process his first compliment about his looks. "You think I'm cute?" He asks looking to you. "I do and I've implied this many times. You're cute because you're attractive and you seem really innocent and genuine." You answer. "I'm not innocent at all. I've been reading your emails for months." He reveals. "Oh no! Now you know what buy one get one free deals Sephora is sending me." You playfully respond. "You're not mad?" He asks. "Did you hack my ICloud too?" You ask. "I did." He answers. "In a I Need Her way or a I'm Curious way?" You ask. "I wanted to see who the real you was. I think people hide their trueselves from others." He reveals. "What did it tell you?" You ask. "That you're beautiful inside and out, and you have a sense of humor." He answers. "So you're one of those types of boyfriends. If I cheat on you you'll hack and threaten my side piece." You say. "More or less." He replies. "Well then now I know the real you." You say. "Elliot, there are things about people you can't find out about them from their online presence. Based on just us talking I know you're like me. You like control, but you also like to envelope yourself. You like to handle things from a distance. You're shy, but you're sweet to a fault." You explain. "Why do you say that?" He asks. "If I cheat on you you should leave me, not fight for me." You answer. You smile hug him, whispering into his ear midway through the gesture. "But I won't so don't worry." You say. He smiles and you do the same. "Thank you for talking me down." You say. "Anytime." He replies. You see a news report on his TV and it grabs your attention,
