The void

"She's right. I'm the only one who doesn't need oxygen. I must go alone." Zane replied and got to the door. He went through it, getting in the last room before space.

"Go get 'em, Zane." Kai said and the nindroid went outside.

"Hey, voice in my head?" Y/n asked, getting weird glances from the others.

"What?" The voice asked.

"Ah, there you are. Haven't heard from you in a while."

"Yeah, I know. Haven't really found a moment to speak."

"Can you tell me who you are?" She asked and Jay flew up to his sister.

"Who are you talking to?" The master of lightning asked, only to get sushed by Y/n.

"I can't say. I can only say I knew your mother and that you can say we're related in a weird way."

"What weird way?"

"Did I just hear someone say my name? I gotta go."

"You're in my head. You can't go." Y/n rolled her eyes. "Please tell me about what you know about my mother."

"Fine, I'll tell you one thing. But please don't panick. And keep it a secret from your brother, he can't know."

"I won't tell him."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"Okay.. Here we go... Cliff Gordon."

"What?" Y/n asked, confused, earning a glance from Jay.

"Come on, Zane, where are you?" Lloyd muttered.

"I can't say more right now. It'll reveal too much about your past. Oh and Kai's staring." The voice said, making Y/n turn around and face the red ninja, who quickly looked at Lloyd.

Zane appeared, just in time. The ninja change into the space suits and hang onto the ship.

"We made it!" Lloyd declared, earning cheers from the others in Ninjago.

"Yeah! All right! Yay!"

"We have our spacesuits and found one way to change ourselves. At least now we can stay on this ride a bit longer." Y/n chuckled.

"All right, to commandeer the ship, you have to get to the cockpit. You'll find an access hatch just ahead of you." Nya explained.

"You know what's also ahead? A desolate void of nothingness. If any one of us falls off..." Cole trailed off.

"We'll take it slow. Together." They scream as the ship briefly accelerates.

"I can't wait to see the expressions on the faces of those metal chrome domes when they find out we stowed away onboard." Jay chuckled.

"They're Nindroids, Jay." Y/n sighed.

"Nimrod, they don't have expressions." Cole scowled.

"Oh, yeah. Well, Zane has expressions."

"Zane's not like them. Do we really have to go over this right now?" Kai asked.

"It's just so quiet, I'm only trying to fill the space. Get it?" The blue ninja laughs sheepish, "Space."

"Yeah, we get it."

"So much for our surprise attack. Look out!" Cole pointed at the laughing nindroids as they fired at them. One of the nindroids lands in front of Jay, who hits him with a piece of junk. He managed to steal one of their weapons, making his team cheer for him.
