I grabbed his hand and leaned against his side. "Let's just lay here?" I offered.
He smirked at me. "Together?"
I nodded my head. I liked the sense of peacefulness he gave me.
"Together."

"You know he'll leave you when he finds out, they always do." Her voice was familiar, so familiar I could have put a name to it if I had one.
I looked down at my feet, I was walking. Where was I walking too?
I looked to my left and saw a forest filled with green, but it was eerily silent. Up ahead on the side, a pair of a small children's shoes were covered in red. I looked away, to my right, and saw her.
Her. I knew her.
"I know you," I said. "You attacked me." I tried to punch her, slap her, anything, but my hands wouldn't move. I couldn't do anything.
That only made me angrier.
"I did no such thing." Her red lips stretched into a smile, showing off fangs. Her blonde and curly hair was cleared of the blood that once coated it. "I saved you, let's face it."
We were walking so close I could smell the sickly copper scent her breath spewed out. My hands slapped my thighs as we moved leaving behind a pleasant sting. "How?"
"I don't feel like going into detail. I'm sorry to say but you and your mate won't last very long." She blinked at me blankly, her eyes shining a deep color.
"How dare you," I spat. "Like you know anything about mates."
She put a hand to her chest and gasped over dramatically. "Oh but I do little Quinn. And I know that once he finds out... he'll be done with you. Just like everyone. Else." She put her hands on my throat and I felt myself fall back and onto the ground.
Instead of bloody teeth and a gash in my neck, I saw a wolf pacing next to me— a black one with glowing red eyes. A silver collar roped around its next, a chain connected to it. Foam leaked from its mouth. It was another rogue. Another chained rogue.
It turned to me and I recognized those eyes for a moment— only a moment.
"Mom?" I asked.
The wolf snapped and barked at me, I was nothing in her mind, only prey which was to be dealt with. And quickly.
Someone whistled, however, before she could kill me and the wolf retreated into black fog.
"Quinn!" Someone was snapping their fingers in my face.
I slapped their hands away and pushed myself back until I felt cold leather hit my sweating body.
It was just Sebastián, his eyes full of worry and his hands reaching out to grab me— to protect me.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
Instead of answering I lunged forward, tackling him on the couch. "You won't leave me, right? Ever?" I asked, my head pressed into his chest.
