Toni's POV
We're in the middle of the candy store number and Cheryl's being particularly bitchy.
So am I but she's 10x worse
"SHUT UP TONI," she yells in the middle of the song before going back to singing
I love her still
We keep dancing and all of a sudden she pushes me and I fall down
It flashes me back to everything before her
My dad shoving me to the ground
My brother beating me
All the kids at south side high trying to pick on me because I'm the small one
And when I was shoved on the playground as a little kid for liking girls
Her staring down at me with that smirk
My breathing goes funny and I pass out.
Cheryl's POV
After I pushed toni she passed out on the ground
"CALL 911,"
"IS SHE BREATHING?"
"DID SHE HIT HER HEAD?"
People all around clearing the area and helping her
I go to the changeroom and throw up
"Cher?" Ronnie says
I just sit on the ground and hug my knees against my chest
"Cheryl the paramedics said she's probably okay,"
"I hurt her," I whisper "I hurt her, didn't I?"
"She's hurt yes,"
"She hurt me so bad Ronnie. She made me so anxious and scared and I felt lonely all the time and it physically hurt me. I didn't want to push her, I didn't, I just couldn't let everyone know how much she hurt me,"
"I know Cher,"
She hugs me until I calm down
"Do something with me?" I ask
She nods and I change into a black tube top, leather pants, and a red leather jacket
"Where are we going?"
"Main Street," I say
She drives there and I get out to a small flower shop.
I grab the prettiest flowers there, yellow and red roses. Then I go and grab chocolate and a Get well soon card.
"Hospital please?"
She nods and drives there.
"You want me to go in?" She asks
"I'll be in and out," I say
I walk up the stairs and ask where her room is
"Family relation?"
"Uh g-girlfriend," I stutter "ex girlfriend,"
"Oh you're the one that pushed her?"
"Yes ma'am,"
"I'd avoid the waiting room if I were you," she says
I nod and walk towards the room number she gave me.
I manage to not be seen by the poisons or any of the serpents that still like Toni.
She's sleeping so I just set the Roses, card and chocolate down and go to leave
"You're just going to leave without any explanation?" I hear her say as I get to the door frame
"It's in the card," I say grabbing the door frame and turning
She leans up and grabs the card.
"Dear Toni, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, I shouldn't have pushed you," she laughs "wow it's almost like your third grade teacher made you write this,"
I nod
"I'm sorry Toni. Truly, I didn't really mean to hurt you,"
"It's your Defense mechanism," she says "like le Bonne Nuit's sex was for me. You wanted to seem strong,"
"You can still read me,"
"You know what happened to me?" She asks
"Concussion,"
"Ah don't give yourself that much credit Blossom, you didn't shove me that hard," she jokes "I had a panic attack, lots of memories of people I used to love shoving me and hurting me,"
"I'm sorry again Toni,"
"Why don't I forgive you over dinner?" She asks "I can tell you're upset anyways, it might be nice to talk about it,"
"That sounds nice, when do you get out of here?"
"Oh I've been discharged for 15 minutes, saw your bitmoji was on it's way to the hospital and wanted to see if you were coming to see me,"
I laugh and shake my head.
"I thought you were sleeping,"
"Oh I learned the art of fake sleeping from you," she says "let me get changed and can you grab my stuff from a nurse?"
"Sure,"
"Thanks,"
I walk and find the nurse and she gives me a small bag with her stuff in it.
"Isn't That Topaz's stuff?" Peaches asks
"Oh uh ya?" I say "s-she asked me to grab it,"
"Why would she want any thing from you?"
"We're going out to dinner. To talk,"
"Like hell, she's probably still on drugs,"
"She offered not me,"
She shoves me and I stumble into the wall.
She gets a blade out at puts it under my chin.
"Topaz is our leader, stay away from her," she says getting closer to me
"Peaches back down please," Toni says "we talked, we're cool,"
"Topaz she hurt you,"
"I hurt her first, What she did wasn't cool- but you don't understand what we are," Toni says walking towards us "knife, down now,"
Peaches puts the blade away and walks towards the bathroom
"Saved your life Blossom, I think you owe me," she winks
"I think you forgot the flowers I got you,"
She laughs and goes back to get them.
We leave and go to Pops for dinner.
"I'm sorry I was such a bitch," she says
"I'm the one that shoved you,"
"Ya but I wasn't being the nicest when we were a thing. I don't do well with feelings, or emotions, or people that actually care about me. I don't like being vunerable,"
"Me neither,"
She gives me a small smile
"I miss you Cher,"
I look at the table and start crying.
"I- I'm sorry, I can't do this,"
I get up and leave and start walking home.
"Cher wait up please," I hear as i get half way up the street
"What Toni?"
"I want us to be good, I love you Cher,"
"I can't keep hurting you Toni! I won't,"
"You aren't hurting me Cher, we had a fight that's all,"
"I pushed you and it sent you into a panic attack,"
"I'm fine Cheryl, Seriously,"
I nod and she hugs me.
"Baby I know you haven't had many healthy relationships. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you and that I let it get out of hand Okay? I'm sorry,"
"Are we girlfriend's again?" I whisper
"If you want to be,"
I nod against her chest and she kisses the side of my head
