We made our way through the towns all the way back to Nottingham. The journey seemed a lot quicker. We searched high and low. I ran to the old base, and saw multiple bodies of russians, the battle of Nottingham killed many, and not a single person had their dignity anymore. I looked through the empty shopping centre and saw nothing. I ran towards the opposite side, and saw a boy and a girl. The girl was wearing a pastel-pink hoodie, light blue jeans, and long dirty blonde hair. The boy had platinum blond hair, a denim jacket, and grey trousers.
Its them...
I ran after them, jumping over the rubble and running as fast as i could. Adrenaline rushed through my body. I slid around the corner and saw nothing. There was nobody there. I confusedly stood there, speechless.
After many hours of searching, we came up empty handed. In my head, the lingering fear of losing my daughter forever was there.
I silently made my way home, without talking to the group.
As soon as we walked back into the warehouse, we found a hustle and bustle. Kayleigh has passed out and was easing off in our bedroom. Ava was busy working, and Mason, who was left early to get home quicker was working with some metal and some wiring. Ava was walking around with blood up her gown and Jaydan was unconcious on the sofa. Unlike before, his hands were visible. They were mutilated. His left had fingers missing, and his right had nearly nothing left. It was almost a stump. Ava had clearly been tending to him, and had had to amputate his right hand to the sleeve. Mason appeared to be working on a metal prosthetic. He was creating the hand from metal and wiring it up carefully. Upon finishing, Jaydan began to wake up. Ava took the hand, and placed it on the stump. She made sure the nerve endings touched the right connectors and as soon as he could, she made Jaydan move the hand. Magically, it worked. He had his hand back.
"Warren, there's news, Leilani has been sighted in Nottingham..." Said James...
