"Morning, Kay." I said, half asleep. Kayleigh was already out of bed, and making some toast and coffee.
"Here," she said, "You're gonna need some of this. We're leaving today remember."
She walked over to me and sat on the side of the bed. She ran her hand through my hair, and said "I think we should talk to our parents before leaving."
"No. We should leave a note and get the hell out of here. We dont wanna risk them getting-" I hesitated. "What ever we have." I said, choosing my words carefully.
"I have an idea about this chemical." Said Kayleigh. "I think it causes really strong bonds with those you love and really hating relations with those who you dont, attempting to kill those who will end up fighting. Its not a very efficient plan but it can dehabilitate many of those who were to join the army."
"When did you get so smart?" I asked, taking a bite of toast.
"Maybe it's the chemical, or last night." She smirked. I laughed and took a sip of the coffee. Micro-waved. I thought to myself. I pulled on a pair of faded blue jeans, a white t-shirt, a black leather jacket and a pair of leather gloves.
"See, i told you my profession would come in handy," I said, referencing my two years as a tribute act. I took a razor and shaved clean, which was by that point a part of my Monday routine. I made a fresh coffee and chugged it, before fastening up the leather jacket.
One hour later...
I headed towards the nearest bus stop with Kayleigh and payed for our fares. It was a short trip to Nottingham train station, but it took an eternity. Upon arrival, we waited for the group to show up. James was already stood, with a suitcase, chatting to Ava about teen wolf.
"Oh. my. god. Its sooo good! Whos your favourite?" He said.
At that moment, I saw Mason and Amelia run into the Bathroom.
"Oh shit!" I muttered, but i got distracted when i saw Elijah kiss Emma. They mingled like two wires in a draw, their hands wrapped around eachothers' waists. Kayleigh looked at them then looked at me.
"Hey!" She said. "Eyes on the prize, Mason and Amelia, no?"
I darted to the bathrooms and bursts the door open, to find Mason fumbling with Amelia's top.
"Stop!" I screeched.
"What? You absolute cock blocker!" Said Mason, as his eyes began to glow a shade of red. Things went im slow motion as I slammed the door and said to him.
"Youve been infected."
The words he said after that cannot be described however, there were a lot of obscenities and slurs thrown around. The next three hours of travel were painful, with awkward stares everywhere. Kayleigh and I shared a room, James and Ava, Mason and Amelia (and I can assure you, no noise came from the room), Elijah and Emma. We all stayed quiet but Kay and I fell asleep in the bed.
When we arrived in Galway, a breeze hit our faces. 4 down. 2 remaining.
We walked through the crowded streets and we went to the house Elijah owned.
"This is it." I said to Kayleigh. "Our new home..."
