I awoke to a bed full of blood. It was all over my face, merging with my sweat. My breathing was heavy, and my once white shirt now soaked in blood. I rolled around, trying to find Kayleigh, but she was gone. Without a trace. I stood up, and saw a broken pair of glasses lay on the floor next to a bloodied hand. In the hand, sat my baseball bat. I fainted, and woke up again, this time for real, sweating heavily.
"Warren!? What's the matter?" Asked Kayleigh, walking in, as I went past her straight to the toilet. I threw up, and passed out to the side of it.
I woke up a little bit later, and Kayleigh was sat at the side of me, putting her arm around me.
"You're finally awake, what happened this morning?" She asked, stroking my hair. Her hand was soft and comforting. "You really scared me Warren. You passed out after throwing up. Are you okay now?"
"I'm better than earlier, but I'd rather not talk about it." I said, brushing her to one side. "I'm sorry."
I got out of my dirty, vomit stained t-shirt, and put on a new one. I drank a few glasses of water. Mason wandered over:
"What's up with barfy over here?" He asked.
"Piss off you twat." I said. I slapped him around the face and to my surprise, he apologized. I just wandered away, and went to sit on the bed. Kayleigh kissed me on the cheek.
"I could leave you to mope around Warren. Or I could try and make you feel better."
"Moping around sounds alright at the minute Kayleigh."
"Suit yourself." She said, walking away. She took one last look at me as she walked out of the door. "I love you."
"I love you too." I said, smiling for the first time that day. It felt weird. In the past I had had dreams like that one before, but it never made me push anyone away. I just lay down, and thought to myself. That day, I didn't eat at all; I had a glass of water, and isolated myself for the rest of the day. I heard voices telling me to talk to people, but I didn't listen. I felt ill...
