Chapter 55: Last Chapter

I got teary-eyed seeing my parents very proud because of what I've got. I can't ask for more because I have the most supportive family who are very contented of my achievements. I can see the happiness in their eyes even if I didn't receive any medals and special awards. Just a certificate which proves my hardwork is an enough recognition for them.

"Congrats, Venice." niyakap ako ni kuya Mikko pagkatapos nya akong batiin.

"I'm so proud of you, anak." naluluhaang wika ni mama. Isa isa nila akong niyakap at binati. Their presence during my special days is an enough graduation gift for me. We took pictures together and our family also planned for a celebration for Jasmine and I.

"I'm so proud of you, Sarayah." umiiyak na wika ng bestfriend ko. I hug her for her to feel that I'm thankful for having someone beside me through thick and thin.  Nilibot ko ang tingin ko bago hinanap ang iba ko pang mga kaibigan. I saw Carl with Andrea at talagang tinotoo nya yung sinabi nya sa akin na nililigawan nya ang pinsan ko. Maya maya ay lumapit sa amin ang kutong lupang si Jose. He's also emotional because we have to face the new chapter of our life and that means that we have to part our ways.

"Maninibago na naman siguro ako, teh. Pero wag muna ngayon. Ayokong magdrama. Picture tayo." wika nya na tinawanan naman namin ni Jayniah. Ngumiti ako sa camera kahit nararamdaman ko na din yung lungkot. He told me last time that he will continue studying college in Pangasinan. Jayniah will study abroad as well as Kenrylle. I guess, maski ako ay maninibago din.

"Alright. Isa pa, wacky!" Jayniah exclaimed. I texted Andrew and Kenrylle so we could have pictures together at mabuti naman hindi nila kami pinaghintay ng matagal. Malawak ang ngiti ko ng magtama ang paningin namin ni Kenrylle. I remember what happened four days ago. His surprise and how he proposed to me to marry him when the right time comes. I guess I am the luckiest girl in the world for having a guy like him.

"I'll take a picture of all of you." Edward said. Pumwesto na kami para sa aming picture taking. Jayniah is in the middle since sya lang yung hindi nakagraduation attire. Kenrylle is beside me kaya't I'm sure na malawak ang ngiti ko sa litratong iyon.

"Okay, magjowa ang next naman." wika ni Jose kaya't naiwan kami ni Kenrylle sa gitna. Edward took a pictures of us in different angles pero ang pinakagusto kong litrato ay yung binuhat nya ako in a bridal way. He's very happy on that picture kahit simpula na ng kamatis ang mukha ko.

"Let's go. We only have 5 hours together." he exclaimed. I can't help but to feel sad facing that reality. Hina wakan nya yung kamay ko kaya't sinubukan kong ngumiti sa kanya kahit naiiyak na ako.

"Congrats again bro! Congrats Venice." kuya Kevin blocked our way. He's not the only one. He's with his parents. I wonder if Kenrylle is okay with them now.

"T-thank you." nahihiya kong bati sa kanila. Everything was unexpected ng ipinakilala ako ni Kenrylle sa father at step mother nya.

"Nice to meet you, iha." Kenrylle's step mother exclaimed habang nakangiti.

"N-nice to meet you po, tita and tito." bati ko sa kanila. Our conversation didn't last long kasi agad kaming nagpaalam sa kanila. I guess Kenrylle is not yet totally okay with them. Ramdam kong medyo hindi pa din sya komportable.

"I'm happy that you're slowly fixing your relationship with them." wika ko habang naglalakad kami papunta sa kotse nya. He told me that was his father's graduation gift to him.

"We already talked last night. I need to be okay with them so we'll have no conflicts in the future. I made a promise to your parents and I need to fulfill it." hindi ko maiwasang mapangiti ng sinabi nya iyon. As days passed by, I am seeing the more matured side of him.
