Chapter XVIV
I stayed in my bed for hours, drowning my sorrows in lumpy hospital food. I miss Caden.
I miss him so much.
I called out to get a nurse, and one came slowly walking in to the room.
"Can I leave now?" I ask. I need to see Caden.
"I don't think so, we still have to make sure your heat will be subdued for long enough to-"
I cut her off by standing up out of my bed and rushing out of the room, my scrubs trailing behind me.
"Caden!" I shouted out, running through the halls and looking for him. The nurses gave me strange looks but I ignored them.
I ran through the hallway that connected to the pack house and ran inside. I sprinted and nearly ran into another pack member.
"Have you seen Caden?" I asked breathlessly. I was panting and gasping from running so fast after not standing for so long.
"He's in his office," the young girl responded. I gave her a thankful smile and ran up the stairs and opened the door to the study of my mate.
