Riley's POV
My head is so painful I feel like taking out and chucking it away. It's so painful to move and I don't know what's going on.
I slowly peel my eyes open and immediately block it due to the brightness. I could hear snoring; I looked to my left and saw Wade fast asleep on the sofa. I felt so bad because he must be so uncomfortable. At the same time I'm shocked I thought he'd be gone to Freddy's house.
In a way I'm glad because I don't want to be alone. I rather wake him up and tell him to go otherwise he'll have back pains.
"Wade wake up..." I say from my bed. I doubt he'll hear me because I'm speaking softly, I can't stand noise.
I won't waste my time so instead, I saw a bouquet of flowers next to my bed I plucked out a flower and threw it at Wade. I missed pathetically so I tried again and bull's-eye it fell on his nose.

"Ahhhchew." Wade sneezes
"I'm sorry I woke you up, but you looked so uncomfortable sleeping there. I thought you'd go home when I fell asleep." I said sheepishly
"When I said I wouldn't leave you I meant it." He genuinely smiles. I blush abit.
We stared into each other's eyes before thee most embarrassing thing happened.
"Seems like someone's hungry." He chuckles, my stomach had growled so I hid behind my pillow in embarrassment.
"No need to be embarrassed because you only had breakfast yesterday. I'll be back I'll get you something from the cafeteria." He tells
"No it's okay I'm sure they'll serve breakfast just now."
*buzzer sounds*
Freddy walks in holding a bouquet of flowers. While Blade looks like he didn't care but one look at him and I began to laugh. He looks at me annoyed because yesterday Wade had broken his nose so he has a huge plaster on it.
"Riley dear how are you feeling?" He asks
"My head is throbbing but I'll be fine." I say with a small smile
"See granddad she's fine I don't know why you dragged me along. I have better things to do than to be here." He rolls his eyes
"You better close that mouth of yours before I do." Freddy says giving him a pissed off look
Freddy had stayed for the duration of the visiting hour. Blade kept walking in and out of the room, Freddy apologised on his behalf and said that he'll be dealt with. He had brought in some snacks so I had opened a box of biscuits which Wade and I shared.
Both Wade and Freddy stepped out to speak once the buzzer had rung. Blade was nowhere to be seen and I was scared he'll try something else to hurt me.
I was falling off to sleep because my head was hurt it was very easy for me to fall asleep. I can hear a lot of shuffling maybe it's Wade so I don't have to worry. I started to get annoyed at all the noise so I was forced to open my eyes. A nurse was in the room busy with some things.
"I just informed Mr Smith about what needs to be done so I'm just going to do a quick check up on you, the doctor will come through shortly then you may go home." The nurse explains
That's the best news I've heard whole day. I spent a full day here and I'm already ready to leave. It was about 10:30 when the doctor had finished my check up and I was ready to go. I felt safer at the hospital than at Freddys house.
"Riley you ready?" Wade walks in and asks
"Yeah but can you get me some pain killers to help soothe the pain?" I ask desperately
"I already collected your medicines and I have a box with me." He explains
Once Wade finished with the remaining paperwork he helped me into his car before we drove to Freddys.
When we got there Wade hooted and Freddys family came out. Freddy came to help me out while the rest stood and watched.
"I knew my fighter will feel better." Freddy says and I chuckle at the irony of what he said.
"She's all full of laughs now but just an hour ago she was dying." Blade spits
"Watch what you say, I don't care that I am a guest in this house because I'll gladly push my size 9 shoe in your face." Wade glares and towers over him
Blade holds his hand in surrender and leans on the door. Freddy holds me and helps me to go inside.
As I was about to walk through the door I had tripped on something which sent me crashing onto the floor. I screamed out in pain. There was a thin sharp piece of metal jutting out of the back door which I failed to see on time and had fallen directly onto.
"Blade help me pull her up!" Freddy screams
Blade grabs my arm rather tightly and pulls me up in a force which made the wire that is now stuck in my leg to rip my flesh open. To say that this was painful is an understatement.
"Riley oh my lord blood." Wade collapses
Of all times he had to collapse now. Freddy pulls out the wire carefully while I steady myself on the door frame.
"F-Freddy I-I'm fine please wake Wade u-up." I stuttered in pain
"You have an open wound Riley don't be stupid. Sabrina will see to him."
I limped towards the sofa and lied down. Criselda threw the emergency kit on the sofa which I passed to Freddy. He was about to stitch my thigh before Wade woke up.
"Riley, I had a dream you wer-"
"Don't come here there's blood!" I screamed. He made a U-turn and went upstairs.
Freddy carefully stitched me up while I moaned in pain. After an hour of cleaning the wound and stitching it up he was done. It took long because the cut was deep and big. I'll have a huge ugly scar on my left thigh now. Which will be hard to hide when I have to streetfight.
But how did I fall? I was so consumed by my thoughts that I wasn't conscious enough to watch how I was walking.
Wade walks down with our bags and leaves it at the door.
"I hacked into your security system and I saw how Blade had tripped Riley. Do not even deny it boy I will kill you." Wade says in a harsh tone
"Blade you pathetic boy you were the cause of this whole incident!" Freddy screams
"Don't you dare blame my grandson if that girl was unconscious of what she was doing!" Criselda screams back
"Thank you sir for your what you've done. Riley and I will leave now she'll be at my house so that she can recover. If you want to check up on her you have my number call anytime." Wade says calmly
Wade left our bags in the car while I hugged Freddy and limped to the door. I told him that everything that happened wasn't his fault and that he should visit me because I'll never want to go back there again.
As I limped past Blade he mutters something loud enough for me to hear.
"You got what you deserve you pathetic girl." He spits
Wade rams him into the wall and punches him repeatedly.
"Wade leave him alone! Lets go I'm already in so much of pain." I said defeated
Wade throws him onto the floor before he lifts me up and walks out the door. Freddy just looks at Blade all beaten up and walks outside to bid us goodbye.
"Riley I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you after those incidents. I'll never forgive mys-" Wade speaks as he drives
"Stop right there you couldn't have prevented any of those things. This is why I didn't want to come here because I knew something was bound to happen. Moreover you were there for me you didn't leave my side, and for that I'm truly grateful to have you. If someone else were with me I doubt they'd stay in the hospital with me." I explained
"You know that I'll always be there for you no matter what." He throws me a quick smile
"Wade...you said that I'll be at your house?" I ask
"Don't worry Riley. You need to rest."
He had the radio playing softly and I covered myself with a blanket. I watched the cars and trees go by and I eventually fell asleep.
An hour later I was shaken awake.
"Wakey wakey sleeping beauty." He says softly
"Waaade where are we?" I yawned
"At my house. C'mon let's go inside." He says
Why the heck am I here? I suppose to go to Jaydens house...
"Wade but why did you bring-"
"If you stay with me it'll be easier to take care of you. And I won't have this constant worry if you're okay. You need this time off to recover plus Emily will be delighted to take care of you." He says
"I'm speechless." Truly I was I thought I'd go home
He helped me walk to the door and when we rang the bell a beautiful lady appeared at the door.
"My baby boyyy." She embraces him
"Hi ma." He smiles sheepishly at his mum
"Oh and who is this beautiful young lady?"
