Philipp laughed at me and asked how I could be so in love with a woman - to me it was just that way. Anytime I saw her, I was happy. When I kissed her, I felt great. When I loved her, I felt even more connected to her. It felt great knowing you could love somebody without fearing they would leave you one day.

"Where's the thingy?", Sara asked me.

"The one thingy?"

"Yeah that one", Sara looked around. "I can't find it!"

"It's in the dishwasher", I told her.

She drew out the spatula and went back to cooking.

"You know how great you look right now?", I said into the kitchen, putting my book down. "I love those shorts on you and those colors." Grey booty short (hey I loved her body, what can I say?) my blue shirt on her and that messy bun were just a dream.

"Thank you honey", Sara came over to kiss my cheek. "You look handsome yourself bebo." She sat down next to me. "Has Lucas sent the restraining orders yet?"

"They are in the envelopes on the table. I wanted to give you the honors." That brought me back to the case.

For all the things Eleanor had done, she had received 15 years for the attempted murder, less than a year for stalking, 1 year for misdemeanor, 5 years together for harassment - meaning she was in prison for 21 and something years.

Mother on the other hand - 10 years for the involvement of attempted murder, 1 year for harassment, 25 years for reckless abandonment - making her stuck in prison for 36 years.

At first, I had felt strange when Lucas had told us, but thinking back to what they both had done to me and how they both wanted Sara dead - I felt like they deserved it. Point blank.

"And you are really alright?", Sara asked me, brushing my hair back.

"More than alright", I promised her. "Sara?"

"Yes?", she sat down next to me again. I put my hand on hers. "I'm going to seek out a therapist. Just to talk to him about the past. It's time I get it off my shoulders."

Sara teared up. She took me into her arms and hugged me tightly. "No matter what - I'll support you."

I hugged her back. I loved her so damn much. "I know that. Did you tell our family about the court story yet?"

"Just this morning. Victor is celebrating with Marthe. My parents are so glad, so much so they want us to help with the move and see us in person again."

"Did you tell them they can come over anytime?", I asked her.

"I did."

"Good - can't wait to see them again."

Sara went back to finishing our lunch and I left my book at the couch to pester her while doing so.

Another week later

26th of July, Friday

New York's summer was getting to us - so much so, I was sitting in my boxers on the couch with Sara, though there was some space between us. Our feet were the only thing touching each other, because you were literally sweating if you were too close to somebody else.

Sara ... she was looking like a treat in my eyes.

The many booty shorts we had bought on our trip? She wore the light pink ones, one of my favorite colors on her, along with a grey crop top - the best part?
