Dinner.

I was beyond thrilled when a maid knocks on our door and call us for dinner.

Dinner...

Seriously??

Isabella and I exchanged glances.

"T-They eat?" She asked softly.

I blinked.
"Y-Yeah?? M-Maybe they do..."

She let out a nervous chuckle.
"R-Right! What was I thinking??"

An awkward silence took place.

We were staring each other for a couple of seconds until she decided to break the silence.

"W-What are they going to e-eat?"

I swallowed hard.
I'm bothered by the same question too.
"F-Food I hope. Like, literally human food."

She nodded.
"F-Food... Yeah, maybe."

I bit my lower lip. My hands are trembling.

She let out a nervous sigh, her face paled as well. "Y-You think..."

I shook my head.
"T-They won't dare to eat raw human in front of us, Belle. I k-know they're nuts but I believe that they won't reach level eighty." My lips tremble.

She nodded with mouth open.
"Y-You may not make sense about the level one but I guess I'll agree with you."

Another awkward silence passed.

I swallowed the lump in my throat.
"B-But----

"But what?" her nervousness reached the ceiling.

I may be afraid but I will put up a fight if needed.
"N-Nothing. D-Don't mind me."

She blinks her eyes rapidly.
"D-Do you think they'll let us pass? I mean I wasn't hungry. How about ---

I cut her off.
"M-Me too! Not hungry at all. Not even the slightest."

"Goodness! Same here!"

The door opens, revealing a beaming Zileria. She waved at us.

"Hi!"

"H-Hello..."
I took a step back.

Zileria smiled.
"Dinner, dears. Come on. I'm starving..."

Isabella's eyes widen.
"Is it okay if we ummm----

I came to her rescue.
"Actually, we weren't hungry. Right, Belle?"

Isabella nodded eagerly.
"Yeah, absolutely. We're far from being hungry."

I nodded too.
"Yeah, not hungry at all. Not even the slightest bit."

Stefanio and Firvenio appeared on the doorstep.

"What's taking you guys so long?"
Firvenio asked.
